Skizzer
PLEASE PLEASE NO LOOKERS WHEEL KICKERS TIME WASTERS What an utter cockwand. Sticking up a half-arsed listing and completely shit photos of a car he's not selling at six times market value, and he's fart-breathing on at US for being time wasters? For some reason that's made me really angry. I'm a pretty mild-mannered sort of chap, but I am now feeling a genuine need to punch that twat's lights out. Mr Lobster
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-R-9-/ ... 2a28800855 Decent enough R9 but nothing particularly to get excited about. It'd make a nice enough little thing for three or four hundred quid. But TWO THOUSAND POUNDS.
dollywobbler
I thought you were being a bit harsh at first - it is a deliciously repulsive colour after all - but then I saw the mis-matched wheeltrims and hideously filthy interior and realised that this person is far from Doctor standard. Put some bloody effort into it if you want top dollar!
Mr Lobster
If it was absolutely mint then maybe I could just about see it being worth somewhere north of £1k but its not. It just looks like a sound enough but not exactly cherished old car. The only time R9/11s seem to be expensive is if they are absolutely immaculate or seriously rare (Turbos, TXE Electronic etc) Theres a lot nicer R11 TXE Electronic with lower miles and much more desirable (and belonging to someone who lurks hereabouts ) on Car and Classic for less money. Alexg
Inexplicably I think that this, which has been for sale for a fair while, has actually gone up in price... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-VAUXHALL ... 337f713147 Classified ad price:£9,995.00 etc

ProgRocker
Silver Mini Ritz for £5,995. Are any classic Minis worth this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Mini-Ritz-1000cc-with-13-000-miles-/180946326774?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a213dd4f6 Only 13,000 miles but you could buy a much newer and more practical city car for the same. retrogeezer
That GTE might be expensive but it is lovely! Although oddly it has the standard fit wheel trims but an alloy spare from a CD model.

You want two grand for a Piazza that's sat, needs a clutch cable and exhaust work (along with everything else) and you can't even be arsed taking any photographs of it? RedSparrow
Don't people rob the engines out of those Piazzas for something?Maybe he's heard they're popular for that.
Guest
Don't people rob the engines out of those Piazzas for something?Maybe he's heard they're popular for that. The engines aren't that popular among the Chevette and Manta brigade - they're basically a Midi \ Fargo van engine with a turbo. Easier and cheaper to get a CIH or a REDTOP INNIT BLAD YIHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Now, the back axles.............don't fit anything directly but are popular with the aforementioned folk who want a cheap LSD. Despite the Piazza having different mounting points. And being two inches wider than a Chevette. 4ZC1 engine swaps are popular in NZ and Australia but not here - Mark of the Nightmares on le forum bleu did a Chevetter with Piazza running gear, mind. willswitchengage
my preference for my cars is to be slammed and rimmed Its still got all the crap stickers shown in the pictures Because a JDM shocker sticker, symbolising a "two in the pink, one in the stink" gesture would be SO much funnier/cooler (im 33 now)
