What has been seen

Cannot be unseen.

I dredged one of those out of the ebay listings a few weeks ago, no idea where they're coming from as I'm sure they were never sold over here new and the idea that someone would go to the effort of importing one is crazy.

I like that, but not enough that I'd ever pay to own one.

The 100 is a Jersey car, hence the insanely low mileage, condition and price.  They have their own car economy over there, prices are extremely high but the cars get a very easy life.

It's probably the most undesirable age/spec but that Mini doesn't seem too badly priced given what these things go for, that pair of rotten Cooper S compost heaps were heading well past 10k last I saw.

That weird Isuzu would be an interesting punt at a much more deflated price. Just for the novelty, you know.

It is a small, sporty 2-door crossover vehicle with aggressive external styling,

I'm not sure about that.

I just love the p100s, but I can never justify those prices. There must be fanboys out there that want a "ute" or whatever.

Isuzu Vehicross was sold here - but in very low numbers - about 50 cars I think. I borrowed one in 1998 for a weekend.

WE HAVE ACQUIRED THIS CLASSIC MOTOR FROM A LADY WHO'S FATHER HAS JUST DIED AND SHE WAS GOING TO SCRAP IT

So they've basically paid scrap money for it, it needs a respray, a fair bit of welding and a service plus they have over played the "dumb i don't know anything about cars" act too much yet they are still after £1500, good luck!

That Ascona was on my watch list last month, I think it ended circa £1300.

It is well fit, 2.0 and manual 8)

£1300, really? i would have guessed at about £400!

Take a £700 car. Add shit, make it less driveable and mongify it quite a bit...

...and bang it up for £3500. Better still it's another £50 for a full MOT on it.

He'd have to give ME £3,500 (+£50.00) to take it off him, who would ever consider buying this at all? Let alone for that sort of money? It looks horrible, and now probably drives horrible also. The mileage is less than appealing. If you're reading this sunshine, it's scrap value after what you did to it.

I could be wrong, but I thought FD 4/90s were ALL 2.3?

The FE ones were, up until about 1972 the slant 4 ohc came in 1.6/2.0 flavours. it was then upgraded to 1.8 and 2.3

£3500 for the Bora, with faults included. Nice. "According to forums this could be an easy fix so I've obviously tried that already, not had any luck, you're on your own with that one".

White room + DSLR = 5000% mark up. FACT.

Indeed. As Four Star demonstrate once again with this £12,000 £5000 2CV van.

That van is also wrong on many levels. Shouldn't be RHD for a start, but appears to have post-1981 running gear as well. And the wrong headlamp bar.

a little care needed going back into first due to the limited nature of the standard syncro.

I always thought 2CVs had a crash first?  Or is it just that all the ones I've driven have been fcuked?

Posted

They do. No synchromesh on first, that's why you have to be careful - or double-declutch.
