I'm not usually one to boast, gasconade, bluster, showboat or toss-on about new acquisitions, but...

May I be the first to say that it truly awful and I love it! Can I ask where you found it?

Pure rocking horse shit. 8)

Blimey, that's a score and looks in good nick in the pics. Tell us the story of where and how you found it.....

Posted

Fantastic!

So glad one of these survives, where on earth did you find it??

Posted

Bloody Hell  That is amazing - must be one of the only ones left...(I mean in RHD obv)

You just need an RHD estate now to go with it. I'm sure you can find one :D

We have a winner!! I didn't know there was even any left, what's the story behind it Sam?

Wow.

Just wow.

The last time i saw one of these - the only time I've seen one of these - was at the Gallowgate auctions in Glasgow, about 1991.

Autoshite is now complete.

Its acquisition it was almost disappointingly easy.

I've been looking for one in a desultory sort of way for at least five years, with no promising leads at all. Then, during a rare visit to the Renault Owners Club group on Twitbook, I spotted it lurking in an Northern Irish barn behind a Renault 12TS. The chap that posted the picture sent me the owner's phone number. He turned out to be a thoroughly good egg - and a Dacia pervert to boot. He agreed to sell it, and was even so good as to arrange transport to my door.

It promises to be a pretty easy resto project - far more so than the Sport in front of it in the queue.

Next, I think a Liberta should be imported. Girls will be impressed by its elegance and fiability...

Only driving this model you will find full satisfaction!

I know there was a shitload of variants on the basic model but I've never seen that Liberta monstrosity before! Quality advert there too.

Posted

Superb. Didn't think there were any left! Looks like the brakes work...

Posted

Whoa, nice find! That Liberta ad is almost too good to be true...

Posted

You my friend are one of life's winners, that looks great

Posted

Sam, you're a legend. What a fantastic find and save, top bombing.

Posted

Will you be towing it to Bromley behind a Lonsdale?

Posted

Wow a genuine actual bonafide UK Denem!! Amazing find, well done :D

Posted

Wow. When I clicked on this thread I was expecting to see a left-hooker, which would have been impressive enough. Bun a jen-you-whine RHD UK market Denem is something else again. I think you've just won Autoshite.

Posted

I feel slightly outshited! Well done Sam. That's fantastic!

Posted

Just WOW, that thing is autoshite personified. I don't know what else to say so I'll just grovel in awe of your chod-finding skills

Posted

Dacia Denem, awesome.

The Liberta, I've never heard of before but must say it looks spectacularly shite

Posted

Ah, another well-translatored advertisingment brochure.

There's a 1289, 1397 and 1600 'cmc' engine, so let's call this elegantly architectured carriage the 1325...

Posted

Oh Sam, that almost looks mundane compared to your usual fare. That C pillar curve looks 'propah shite' and reminds me of something but not sure what. You are however making me yearn for something eastern european/steel curtain-like. Swap ya something for a nice blue Daf 66. Ah, I see the problem with that. Damn.

Renault 12 perhaps......???

:P

I am not sure what is the most impressive - the uber-rare vehicle or those utterly brillianterrible advertisments.

Bravo all round.

I wonder if the Liberta was ever sold in English-speaking countries?
