My daily roads are currently Spanish so I hope it still counts, spotted with @outlaw118some point last week. He was keen on it but fuck knows if I can remember what it was. All I remember is how sci-fi the badge was.

And behold a very blurry picture of a very spoony and clean classic moooooooooose.

What else do you take to an 80s music festival? Spotted in the car park at Rewind Scotland at Scone Palace.

Didn't want to take a picture as it was on private property but I saw an old early 80s Mercedes, very rusty and an import with round lights. Apparently a previous owner was a little known actor by the name of Sean Connery.

Complete coincidence today at Lidl in Colwyn Bay. The E30 was there when I arrived and the E34 was one spot over when I had come out:

Absolutely did not expect to encounter a Suzuki Mighty Boy while out for an evening constitutional yesterday...

MrsDC was quicker with her phone than I was.

Unfortunately it's at too great a distance to make out much detail, but I assure you, it was!

Deffo not a cut-down Metro, despite appearances.

Rear 'sail' trims shown here were optional/ removable.

Only sold new in Japan, Australia and Cyprus, and even then only in fairly small numbers - so what one was doing in Carrick on a Tuesday evening is anyone's guess.

I'm lovin' this little thing! "Mighty Boy"-a great name for a tiny pick-up! If memory serves, Reliant produced a Robin pick-up a few years ago, named the "giant", which was perfectly designed to slide a pallet onto its rear space. I suspect its weight limit may be easily exceeded, though.......

These were so common in Ireland at one point; a real rarity to see now; that bonnet rust is misleading, it seemed fairly solid

Continuing our holiday in north Devon I came across this in Appledore.

IMG_3773.jpegAlthough the plates weren't original, I think the dealer sticker (Associated Finance Group [A.F.G.]) in Bradford is. The car is in excellent condition, too!

You could share that onto the Bad Parking thread?
Looks nice tho' - and the weather - we're growing gills around here at the moment

At this rate I'll need to start my own thread!  This morning at the M80/M73 junction I saw a Ford RS200. Not sure if it was genuine or a kit though.

First time seeing one of these in the flesh. Not ashamed to say that I like it:

This minty-looking Tercel was a surprise. Clean MOT history but it seems to have been off the road from 2012 to 2021.

Passed one parked up on the roadside last night - funny Kermit green colour but, other than that, I was quite taken.
My wife, who has very little taste in cars (e.g. likes a PT Cruiser) spotted it too and declaimed it to be 'gorgeous'.
So, we nearly agreed on something automotive.

I was round my friendly Mot place, see grin thread, and he always has some shite hanging about. A bit of a variety even a milk float that will, eventually, get a V6 stuck in it, turbo'ed of course. I really like his Chevy flat bed. Very cool. The paint on the Prefect is cracked all over but looks kinda ok in a funny sort of way.

Been meaning to stop and photograph this for a long while, but only got round to it the other day.

1603928002_IMG_20230709_2032253.thumb.jpg.e107cfb2599632bbcde7d4178e52e016.jpg

This left-hooker Volkswagen microbus wearing an age-related B-suffix plate could well have come over from the US, or possibly Europe, but it's starting to look a little crispy in these northern climes.

But I'm kinda impressed that someone's lavished so much on it, such as the EMPI rims and engine bits - given that it's probably worth more than the house it's parked outside. Maybe more spacious too.

But the bright orange paintwork makes me smile whenever I see it - and I hope the owner gets enough joy from it to balance out the undoubted tribulations of trying to daily a near sixty-year-old vehicle...

Tower Hill this morning. V8 badge; never knew these were available with an ‘8 as anything other than an MGC

That is indeed an MGB V8. Those wheels give it away even without seeing the badges. The MGC was quite a different thing altogether with a very heavy 3 Litre straight six that changed the dynamics completely and removed any ideas of being a sports car that the MGB might just about have had.
