I remember a time when you couldn’t even give cloverleafs away, not sure if that’s still the case now though

Probably not, in my part of London i can remember when you could buy a Cortina for £25, but then they were on every street corner......

Sad looking XJS seemingly abandoned in a private car park in a posh area of Plymouth.

MoT expired 6 years ago.  It hasn't moved in all the time and was parked there when the MoT was still in date!

Being born in 1987 scenes like this in the early 90s are what I remember. (not this one cos we didn't live there in 1991)

Striking that almost all the cars are parked facing the same way. Perhaps not a normal public car park?

Or one where drivers were extolled to "park pretty" (a phrase frequently heard in Devonian car parks when I was in my teens!)

Police drivers never parked "nose in", as a "quick getaway" was much easier with the "nose out"!

When I worked at SSE we used to get bollocked for not reversing into parking spaces! They were obsessed with safety and said it’s safer to reverse park (which is true). It did make it much easier doing it with the big vans though, when you came to drive away.

In many works car parks people are instructed to reverse park because when everyone leaves at the same time it causes chaos when someone wants to reverse out..
