spartacus Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 I wonder if there's some sort of double bluff thing going on, painting it silver, like, 'anybody who made a copy of a Ferrari would paint it red, this is resale silver, so it must be real'. I guess it doesn't look too bad if that's what you want, major disappointment though when the local tec' college auto repair candidates start burning you off in their lunch hour, driving a warmed up Fiesta. Wack Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 It had illegally tinted front windows , presumably so you wouldn’t be able to see inside assume the Ferrari parts visible through the rear window are just plastic replicas

HillmanImp Posted October 18, 2020 Author Posted October 18, 2020 My mate sent me this picture the other day. There's a lot going on there. Big bore exhast, chrome arches, mirrored windows. Looking at the history it was originally black, then white (which its still registered as) and is now the inconspicuous red above. Makes me think it was used for funerals, then weddings and now for selling drugs to chavs. mitsisigma01, HMC, Three Speed and 3 others 2 3 1

Austat Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Passed an interesting garage today, the first thing that caught my eye was this A50 ute gasser, nicknamed "Bosstin". Has a 7.0 Pontiac engine, and was featured in a top ten list of gassers in Street Machine magazine. The Pontiac engine came from this '63 Bonneville which is now receiving an 8.8 litre engine (forgot what make): There was this Ford Prefect/Popular/Anglia outside the workshop too: Interesting place, the owner said they get all kinds of interesting stuff coming in and out so I'll see if I can pop by another time. crad, 500tops, Three Speed and 7 others 10
louiepj Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Was in Lewes today and spotted this with its lovely hand repainted numberplate: Believe the 'Longroof' was on a day out with it as well. Also saw a pink mk1 panda but didn't get the chance to pap it Austat, Yoss, danthecapriman and 16 others 19
