It's a Corgi Juniors 'Jerry's Banger', #1014, and one which was totally unfamiliar to me.

I'm aware of the early-80s Tom & Jerry cart version with the same name and a tipping plastic cannon (#E38B) made as part of Corgi's Cartoon range, but I'd no knowledge of an earlier, rollerskate casting.

Since it seemed in reasonable fettle, I thought I'd take a punt on it just in case it was some sort of wild rarity.

While it turns out that it is quite uncommon (produced for 1971 & 1972 only, and there's no picture of it in the Bill Manzke book), there's also a fair few of them on eBay at around a fiver with no takers, so I'm not likely to be making my fortune from it anytime soon.

If anybody fancies it, 50p takes it.

POST LADY FRIDAY !

1) A Ford Lotus 40 by Fleischmann.  From their 'Auto Rallye' 1:32 slot car series.  A real rarity in the UK.  I put it on the test track and it worked straight-off, with very quiet unworn motor and gearing too.  As expected, it goes around the track anti-clockwise (because foreign), but changing the motor polarity with fix that.  I've stopped buying slot cars as a rule now, as overwhelmed.  But still, it's 50+ years old and like new, this one.  Cheers @155V6 😎

2) Oh you Spot-On freaks got to me this week.   Got this complete Bentley Saloon.  Didn't need it, but could see the £10 investment was worth the tickle.  To go alongside the Dinky Phantom IV and Silver Cloud III, also the Corgi Bentley Continental.  And for the Wife to wonder where the space on the shelf has gone (again).

3) From same seller, as it was there to add to parcel weight: Corgi Citroen Safari.  The flip-up/down seat backs are working, the lower tailgate is there.  Missing the upper tailgate and the skis have been pinched.  But the tidy decal made my mind up.   Never had one: Tick.  Anyone got a spare tailgate?

4) Also same seller:  Lone Star 'Tuff Toys' 1:86 Citroen.  But more than just any old Citroën, it's a model of the 'Decapotable' by Chapron, complete with driver and stickers intact !!  Will do a photo spread of this later.

You must have a very understanding wife to be able to have all those diecasts out! Mine would (probably rightly 🤣) not put up with that. I flogged off all the old 1/18 and 1/24 I’d had when I lived at home because of all the space they took up, a lot simply got sent to charity shop because financially it wasn’t worth selling on eBay by the time you’d been stiffed for the fees. 

Thinking back I had loads, 1/18 Chrono Spitfire, Vitesse Golf Mk1, Revell Opel Rekord, Mira 1/24 Opel Kadett and Ford Scorpio. Most probably ended up in some smoke filled old farts flat or in a sandpit via the charity shop. It wasn’t worth the domestic discord so it was a small price to pay. In any case the kids would have had their curious but careless hands on them and bust all the features!

I haven't managed to add much to my Kidco/Dinky collection for quite a while, until I spotted this camper

Looking at the postcode, I probably could have collected these Rockets, but they were cheap enough

I have spare wheels for the second Bizzarrini, and a better example of the Jag already

Now this is a nice find - I have both the white and yellow Corgi VW pickups with the winch on the back

But I didn't know there was also a version without the winch/tools, casting is different due to the winch on the other version

The procurement of an original Volvo P1800S this morning also gives the opportunity to check it for size against the recently-arrived Corgi Model Club's repro version.

Once again, it seems the Chinese version is slightly larger.

Nice to see one with intact screen, decent paint, a driver (who needs painting before he is 'cancelled'), and race number stickers.

Not sure who would race one without a roll-over bar in the first place though.

The Saint's Ovlov arrived with me two weeks ago (11 June) - but I think the models are only sent monthly, based on whenever the subscription started.

The Monte Carlo Mini, from my recently commissioned second 'feeder' account, only rocked up a week and a bit ago.

And from the Facebook page, it seems that some early birds have received their Porsche Carrera 6 with the set of garage mechanics already - I'm not expecting to see mine delivered until mid-July...

That's a possibility.  I remember having some buildings by Britains (50 years ago) but I think the planks would be bigger than that in relation to the Corgi pickup, and I can't think of any smaller buildings that might supply such a piece.  Railway scale would be too small.
