As for the Efsi Land Rover,I had about 12 of those when they were current.There were three roof variants,the canvas type on your example,a metal truck cab,& another canvas type with side windows.None of them seemed to be fixed to the car,they just pushed on,so I guess they were designed so you could swap them around?

Well I'll be jiggered. I've never seen that, all mine are windows/swage line or no windows/no line. Is it a plastic tailgate? The really early ones had metal but are rare

The Corgi Juniors Ford D-series Skip truck definitely was smaller, nearer 1:81 compared to the Husky Major (Corgi Super Junior) tractor unit at 1:58 (ish)

That one has a plastic tailgate.I never knew about any having a metal tailgate, & I've had quite a few over the years.I had a quick Google & found this,which I'm guessing is metal?,as plastic never quite matches colourwise

In the post today

I did bid on the MB King Size Cougar I mentioned earlier and got it for starting bid price

So pleased with it

Really nice and this is lovely condition

Also got a Ovlov P1800 for my Tri Deck Transporter again for starting bid price

It had a lot of cream paint touch ups

 

Managed to get most of it off

but also took off the silver from a wheel, lucky my Molotow pens came today too

Not sure why Simon is trying to get in the passenger seat! I have some headlight jewels ready too.

Tried tapping the car, but he won't budge

The last piece in the Tri Deck jig saw is the Lancia Fulvia in orange, not found one at a decent (cheap) price so converting an old blue scrap car which is why I want some Teledial wheels

I really like the Cougar too, they’ve got a really nice shape and look about them. They look the part in gold too.

I found a nice Matchbox Major set Jennings live stock transporter trailer in a recent job lot, missing its tractor unit. The trailer was in good shape and still had the tailgate ramp too so I decided it was worth finding a Thames tractor unit for it…

Thats another complete (Major pack No7) made up from bits! 
I really like these. They’ve got a nice look and feel to them! I’m not old enough to have had them when new but they are fantastic little toys.

I really like those early Majors too - all mine have been made up from stray trailers and tractor units found in different places at different times.

I tend to pick bits up as and when I see them - annoyingly small pieces like the separate connector bogeys from the Hendrickson Interstate Double Freighter Truck set will sometimes turn up at the very bottom of a box of knackered diecast...

I'm hoping to eventually reconstruct a full set!

I think the Bedford TK box trailer is my favourite.

(Not a pic of my actual model but not far off, condition-wise)

The rear doors and loading ramps can be fragile on all of them, so you've done well there to find a Jennings livestock trailer that's still intact!
