Hi all

Time to arrange a south coast gathering. I've arranged 4-5 of these in the past which have been reasonably well attended including a day to the Amberley Working museum.

I'm happy as ever to organise the day so it will be somewhere in my vicinity. I've put a close to the poll as midnight 12th July to allow me to book something if you fancy a museum visit as opposed to a coffee/beer venue.

If it's just coffee & cars, will probably again be the Brewhouse Project just outside of Arundel. Free parking, good coffee and nice grub.

Proposing late August (either 24th or 31st), families welcome.

Stick me down as a possible please, Squire. Not been to the Amberley Museum yet, but any of the venue suggestions would be fine.

Interested but probably can only do the first of those dates

I'm also interested but will wait until decision on date and locations is made. I have been to the Amberley Museum twice already so I might have a problem convincing Mrs DSdriver that we need to go again. It is a great place and I highly recommend it. The Black Horse in Amberley village is a good place to stay if anyone is thinking about making a weekend of it.

I should be able to make either of those dates, provided our travel plans to visit family in August don’t change drastically.

Possibly, but not the bank holiday weekend.

I'm occasionally found in Hampshire, I might be interested if I've got something road trippable.

Thank you all for your input. I have added a choice of date as well and extended the poll by a week. Many have said either week is good but I will go with a majority on an individual date.

I can’t make it a Saturday due to existing work and social commitments.

I can’t seem to vote on the dates bit?

I don’t mind, but for preference I’d not choose the bank holiday. Aviation museum looks interesting and I’m just looking at some walks to do in the area in the morning.

As Richardmorris stated the dates bit isn’t working properly. Possibly because some have voted already.

Let’s just go with announcing preference of date!

I like aviation museums - my dad is ex-RAF and still an aerospace design engineer.

Either weekend works for me but slight preference for the 24th. I'd have a long weekend and go see my friends in Havant.

It would be good to see you again Max, last time was 2021 or 2022 FoD when I made a hash of the brakes on the white Gamma!

Would that be when I impulsively chose to sleep in the Ignis I'd just collected? August '22.

This all sounds doable. Again I have no real preference, I've not been to any of the above but they are all about the same distance from here.

The 24th might be slightly preferable in case Mrs Yoss wants to do anything over the bank holiday but I've got nothing planned for either weekend yet.

The poll is haywire and also finished. Most votes were for a visit to somewhere other than just meet for coffee and the venue most preferred by polls was the Military aviation. As the vote for a date would only work for NEW voters after it was added I've been through the various comments and Sunday August 24 appears to be the better date. Therefore I have made a decision

To get a discount on entry I need a party of 12 paid in advance. If you'd rather just meet there and pay at the gate that's fine. Wives, kids, etc welcome

Roll-call please Ladies and Gentlemen

24th Tangmere, just me. I’ll pay for the kids on the gate if they want to come along

A time and address may be useful!

Meet at the museum around 13:30 for 14:00 entry.

Tangmere Military Aviation Museum
Gamecock Terrace
Tangmere
Chichester
PO20 2ES

It’s well signposted from the A27 in both directions.

This sounds like it would be a great day out, unfortunately there will be some significantly smaller air-cooled engines hammering around a former airfield in Norfolk over that weekend.
