Yes, about 10 miles away again.  I should probably toddle down and look at that armed with a battery, but I'm completing the purchase of a new house tomorrow (hopefully) so shouldn't really be buying more cars.  Although not sure how that explains the Pixo I bought yesterday...

E7 NEWSFLASH.

I was convinced the plate expires in a week so I've been quietly soiling my Y Fronts but today I noticed that it's valid until 21/2/24. This gives me more time to get it sorted which is a fucking big bonus. 

Although this also means that I could still get it sorted before then and hand back the MG6 I'd rather get the E7 ship shape for inspection and mothball it until the week before the test because the last thing I want is for it to get damaged or need mechanical repairs so close to test time. 

DOUBLE BONUS. I've managed to score a used NS electric sliding step for £20 from the lad I'm renting my MG6 from.

 

As you can see, the electric motor stopped working long before I got the cab so it's been jammed half out which is a very grey area regarding inspection time.

So to recap. I've not got to try and clear £800 this Fri, Sat & Sun and you lot will be getting another fortnight's worth of RED HOT HARDCORE MG6 ACTION. What's not to like?

Rear proximity sensors are starting to piss me off. I can't reverse into a parking space for a break without them continuously beeping even after the car has been put in neutral.

Clutch pedal seems a little higher than it used to be.

Sidelight bulb blown.

Distance to empty on the trip computer varies from pessimistic to optimistic.

After reversing the heater occasionally sticks in recirculate mode.

No oil used so far.

I'm at the end of my tether regarding punctures. Tonight I suffered my 4th in less than 4 weeks. All pothole induced sidewall blowouts caused by the stupid 18" 40 ratio tyres.

£200 a month in used tyres is a fucking joke. It's costing me almost as much in replacement rubber as it's costing me to insure.

Surely, a visit to the local scrap yard for a set of R75 alloys with good* tyres is the answer ?

I can't imagine this thing having brakes large enough to make the 18" rims essential ?
