Bradders59 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Talking about and driving cars from the 90,s From a Renault Espace to Ford Cosworth Sierra to Vauxhall Lotus Carlton. Should be interesting.
Bradders59 Posted October 17, 2023 Author Posted October 17, 2023 Not all about the 90,s apparently. Also featuring Ian Wrights 1979 Viva !
HillmanImp Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 This is genuinely fucking terrible isn't it. Barry Cade, eddyramrod, Christine and 5 others 4 1 3

Bradders59 Posted October 17, 2023 Author Posted October 17, 2023 yeah dont bother. Its a load of shit produced by 7 year olds. Looked good on paper, but its the worst attempt at a motoring programme Ive ever seen. lesapandre and HillmanImp 1 1
gm Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 jesus - i’m only five minutes in and i want to kill my telly ! lesapandre and MiniMinorMk3 2
High Jetter Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 It should have been interesting...but the presenters* haven't a clue. Jeez, why didn't they consult people who know about their subject? Viva is ace, would love a go in the Carlton tho... lesapandre 1

HillmanImp Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 My interest was piqued when Naiomi Schiff turned up in a Volvo 850, that would be a perfect night out that. Rich, top class fanny in a sporty estate. It rapidly went downhill though. Best bit I saw before I switched it off was them talking car mods which was just an advert for buying stereos from friggin' ebay. 😂 Ab-so-lutely fucking tragic. lesapandre, Chuck Buckles and Barry Cade 3
trigger Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Someone I know from the car club lent them his Sapphire Cosworth for tonights episode and posted about it on Facebook, I replied that the show looked crap from the trailer, especially after seeing someone's Honda NSX getting crashed into some tires and that I'll be giving it a miss, only for one of his mates to give me some right lecture about being ignorant and how hes calling me out for stupidity and ignorance because I'm unbelievable wrong?! 😂 Glad to see I was proved right now! Dan29 Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 My god that was awful. Did not make it to the end. lesapandre 1

wesacosa Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I had to switch off before I saw how badly they ruined that lovely mk1 Espace which they said was only fit for the scrapper Not sure what they were thinking regarding the presenters, but I reckon he knows as much about cars as I know about rap music Bradders59 and lesapandre 2
barefoot Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I no longer watch motoring shows on the telly, because they are all*shit, although because I know fuck all about motor cycles, I occasionally have Henry Cole on as wallpaper in the background. lesapandre 1
eddyramrod Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Even I could have done better. In my current condition! lesapandre 1

sierraman Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I sometimes think television these days only exists to wind you up, what was the one with those two pillocks working out of a lock up ‘doing cars up’? Spent all that money doing the Alfa up and then threw it in the bin... go figure. If I’m watching these things I like to watch someone who really knows his/her shit like early Ed China on Wheeler Dealers. Can’t be fucked with all this fake jeopardy ‘will they won’t they’ bollocks. If I wanted fucking melodrama I’d switch Coronation Street on. D.E, Bradders59, eddyramrod and 3 others 3 3

If I wanted fucking melodrama I’d switch Coronation Street on. Flipping Bangers I was on a few of the Alfa 155 forums reading about that as I used to have one. The scrapping it bit seemed to be dictated by the TV company for a more dramatic episode end rather than them giving up and flogging it to someone who would actually use the useable bits although I do have a vague memory of them trying to flog it before the show went out when they realised it was rotten but that could well have been before they even made the show lesapandre 1
sierraman Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 They were a strange pair those. You’d have figured they’d have found it it was fucked before they started spending on it. lesapandre 1

motorpunk Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 I don't know why they bother, honestly. They're chasing a shrinking audience and there are a thousand better, more genuine shows, on YouTube. They've got a tiny budget to make these things, no time, it's all so superficial. lesapandre, DaveDorson and MiniMinorMk3 1 2

I did wonder who their target audience was. Clearly not car people, and I would have thought most people who know who that rapper is will have no interest in 90s hot hatches. All very odd lesapandre 1

All about cost of production and potential audience and advertising revenue. Maybe they think later clips on YouTube will bolster revenues - but ultimately it's all about filling the space between adverts and hope someone is watching - while they try to sell crisps, burgers and other rubbish.
Rocket88 Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 There’s a few good ( almost all Merikun) shows on Sky….. Fantom works is pretty good
Joey spud Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Just by the shows title and who the presenters were it was pretty obvious this program wasn't aimed at a fifty something white bloke in a shed. I have moved into the 21st century and got access to YouTube on my big telly and have come to the sudden realisation that there is very little on proper TV that I actually want to watch. I am currently enjoying the content from that Dom Chinea bloke off of The Repair Shop. He seems an affable guy who has a genuine love for all old rusty machinery and is currently rebuilding a right shed of a Porsche 356 (that'll take years) and also a 60's Triumph motorcycle that he's trying to keep its careworn appearance where possible but have it spot on mechanically. This is what I actually want to view. GrumpiusMaximus, Rocket88, sdkrc and 3 others 2 4
