I've been hovering over the MAKE OFFER button for the last 5 minutes. Bloody miles away though...

It's a day of mucking about. Couple of trains and a few hours driving an Allegro Estate. Even if you just buy the ticket on the day if the thing manages 30 mpg on the way home it's gonna cost less than a couple of hundred quid to get it home - and you get to drive it a couple of hundred miles.

Hit the button. Buy the fecker, post loads of pics. Even if it all goes monumentally tits up the breakdown services will get you home.

Bid luzzed

Listed in parts for some reason.

Looks a bit gash, but currently £21.

Bloody hell! For that price? I sure as hell would! Somebody buy it and post up a collection thread with loads of pics.... It's got to be bargain of the week, that has.

He has deliberately listed it in car parts to try and get round the ebay fees. When the auction ends, I guarantee that they will go all pissy, and demand about £500 notes at least.

He'll have 'heared' you coming from miles away if you buy that.

If anyone needs me I'll be in the loo with a colour print out of this stuck to the back of the cubicle door, touching myself in a way most would deem inappropriate in the workplace.

I'd run a mile from that car (as I would from any early biturbo tbf, but that one in particular... defective ignition module and other faults, dubious-sounding "performance modifications", incorrect bonnet, VOSA hassle with registering an imported car, etc.).

It does look good though :D

Man that Rover has got to be worth a cheeky £200 bid at least.

Anybody else having problems going to the latest posts when clicking the email link?

It keeps taking me back 20 pages or so - rather than the last read posts.... :?:

Yeah, even if I mark all posts read. It is autoshite

Funnily enough, this one went straight to the last message looks like I need to make a post to sort it out for now....?

As far as I can tell the VOSA hassle is going to be original reg docs, fitting of mph speedo and UK spec headlights. Then it just has to pass an MOT which is a lucky dip with any old car. The defective ignition module can't be that hard to sort. And I'd be willing to put up with its foibles to cruise around in it getting 2 gallons per mile and looking pimpy :D

Ideal shagwagon that, It was £850 last week so it's getting cheaper and it hasn't got far to go to Foxhall Stadium.

I saw that the other week passing Tower Ramparts. Looked like a fossil at the wheel.

VOSA may well want to inspect the car before issuing a British registration number, they did with my Maserati - costs a few quid. And once that was done I had no end of trouble getting a tax disc for it. Dunno if you need a MPH speedo, one of my bikes has a km/h speedo and has passed many MoTs with it. Yep, you'll need UK-spec. lights.

You should get more than 2 gallons per mile though... When it's on the road, my 222 SE (2.8-litre engine) manages between 15 and 28 mpg depending on how I drive it.

Seriously though - if you want one of these I'd advise looking for a later, fuel-injected car.

Anybody else having problems going to the latest posts...

I have this when I click the "view first unread post" for this thread - it sends me right back into the pack. Ever since Norm was disappeared it's been strange. Could it be anything to do with the fact that all his posts were deleted too?

I tend to keep Ebay Tat open in a tab all the time to get around it.

That Aggro 3door is well fit. If I were in Yorkshire right now, I'd be considering sacrificing the BX and the Samara for that. One day I will have one.

That Metro is in Chalfont St Giles! It does look like it would be a pain in the arse to own :P

This looks nice, who wouldn't want to cuddle up to a warm and colourful swede for the winter?

I used to have a 1.3 Delta years ago and it was pretty fun to drive despite being completely shagged.

What the hells this maniac been up to? Rezpectz for reshelling a 2.0 Sierra but he's put a dohc into a mk1 Sierra so it won't appeal to folk wanting an original car.

I guess he was trying to build a more usuable Sierra. Fair play to him but you think he could have re-attached all the trim and the Ford badges before sticking it on the web with an asking price of £4000!
