That bloke with the Astra sounds like a top shiteist. Saved and cleaned up and old base spec Astra when many other morons would have fragged it. Also he has an X1/9 on his drive. Top marks.

That Astra's amazing. Bloke has an X1/9 on the driveway too! What's that in the garage though?

Thought it was a Wartburg at first, but it isn't. Audi?

Craig, they're SHIT, not SHITE.

Don't knock it until... no fuck it you can knock these

(I'd still like one  )

Balls, That SillyRover is weapons-grade SHITE. I'd like to try one sometime.

+3, saw one today and pondered how long it'd be before I get one.

Malta's a bit of a swim from here! It's amazing what old trucks can fetch though, wherever they are. Don't think I've ever driven a SedAk, I'm sure I would remember. Never driven a Scania either, surprisingly; even the receptionist at my vet's is ahead of me there! (I found out this morning, while she was admiring my puppies...)

Pic of uber tidy Ashtray

I can see The Doctor being all over this if he sells that Sunny from a couple of pages back. It's not from far from his stomping ground if my geography's correct.

My thoughts exactly. It's not the man himself that pisses me off so much, more that people fall for a shiny advert in a big way and then you see the same car polished to within an inch of its life making nearly three times as much on eBay a few weeks later. I'd roll this Astra for 700 quid any day and if I was in the market for a nice 80s runabout would be all over it. Nothing like this ever comes up round our way - either we're too affluent and change our cars too often or anything this old is a real shitter :(

I had a Sherpa pick-up exactly like that (but in white and with no load cover) a few years back. It cost me fifty quid and I chucked it through the auctions (legally) full of cherry and saw a £750 return.

That white Cortina is as funky as hell but you'd need to see a close up of the door bottoms and sills.

Hey! I was just about to post that Victor. Looks nice with those wheels, I reckons.

The Spitting Image song might advise you to eat it!

Passed this today - was going back tomorrow to picture it.

i'm the highest bidder of that 2200 TC, the green V8 was tempting me last night but after a chat with my old man it was decided that it looked a bit frilly in the engine bay and a V8 although nice is just too big for what I'm after.

That Victor is also on the watch list, The gold Mk2 is tempting me LOTS but the £200 non refundable deposit puts me of, I don't want to turn up and find it's a bag of shit and be £200 down.

Thats perfectly reasonable Trig, if he's a reasonable bloke I bet he's not mega solid on that, and if he is i would walk away. Send him a message saying you'd Paypal him £50 and all your phone numbers etc to show you were serious, if thats not good enough for him he's probably best avoided. He may just be sick of virtual tyre-kicking eBay twats hence the £200 thing.

Frilly in the engine bay? Never known one to rot there. That's not frilly, it's just never been wiped down. It's mainly dust, ffs. Under the rear seat around the suspension mounts tends to be soluble on 'em.

Oh, the V8 will probably be at least as good on fuel as a 2200 TC.... quite probably better. My last one was better on fuel than the 850 T5 I had alongside it.
