Sounds like they are what I consider a typical British "trade" company - piss poor attitude and service unless you are a mate of the staff - then crying on the local news when they close down from lack of trade blaming the internet...

Oh, forgot to mention, one of his comments was "This is why I don't have people down here picking things up. I'm not here to be a swap service for people who diagnose stuff using the forums. I'm on the forums, I'm well known on the forums. I'm a Jaguar expert. I'm here to make money."

From his attitude today, and to be fair he did refund my money, it appears to be 'Sell something and promise a refund, if it's wrong swap it for something else. If they bring it back, don't give them the money until someone else has bought the item.', oh and 'Pull a super strength mega-strop and bar them from buying anything if they return the item in person as it's easier to flog it online'.

To be fair, the coolant pump I bought and returned worked perfectly.

Turns out so does mine even though he diagnosed it as "The magnets have gone, it still makes noise but it's not pumping" when I was buying his pump.

There was a special edition Panda Sergio Tacchini. They were metallic blue with a 'vivid' green interior, with ST logos all over. Haven't seen one for ages.

Still on the road too! The saloon models have always been alot harder to see, a good survivor. Out of interest, what is the oldest Subaru anyone has seen recently? F plate for me, anything older is seemingly impossible, doesnt count if you own it

I dont have any news per se, but I am currently on my 15th driving lesson and all is going well. I drove round Aldershot today, I can safely say I am never, ever going there out of choice.

I went there 11 years ago and wholeheartedly agree.

I fitted the new number plates to the Pao earlier, and then re-adjusted the tappets to stop it sounding like a skeleton wanking in a biscuit tin.

Now it has decided to spring a water leak to reward me. Bastard twat of a car

I have scored a QUALZAR new workshop in Nantwich for beer money rent and installed the Rover in it. Tomorrow i'm going to look at a likely engine donor for it, woo hoo!!!

Ordinary T-series, 1999 model year though so one of the last and I believe it should therefore be free of the usual chronic oil pissage from the HG. Anyway I will find out tomoz!

I drove my first Cadillac down to Aldershot from Lancashire in 2001 for my stepdaughter's wedding... and back, obviously! I can think of towns I'd rather visit, but both she and hubby were serving in HM forces at the time, didn't get a lot of choice of venue. They live in Inverness now...

If I knew you were after a T Series you could of had the 60k miler out of my now scrapped 800 for £50.

I jacked the Pao up earlier to try and find the cause of its water leak, SUCCESS!!! The head to heater hose had split at the clamp, hose shortened, clamped back up, now sorted :)

Few bits of paint and a good clean and it's going up for sale

No worries, was it all well to drive? If so, its just a matter of insure it, stick some MOT on, tax it. Job done, got to do that with my Micra soon anyway.

Nice little run out today (Birkenhead) on the scooter. Pulled up outside my garage when I got back: PING! Another clutch cable snapped, this time from the handlebar end.

Oh well, at least I got home :D
