Fug sake bollox I'm surprised you get out the house to do any welding at all if you can download ladies dirty bits at that speed

This is actually better than I thought as the best I got for years was half 50kb a second. Mind you I think Scotland's running on the previous version of the internet to the rest of England.

I get 2.72 mbs on the mobile phone.

What is it with these ebay morons

from the buyer of my car

hiya you never got back to me about other details that i asked for .... so i have bought a different car.... communication is the key.

erm yeah the fact my mobile number is on the listing and in the reply to her first question. She then sent a message saying her message about other details didn't send so not only do you have to deal with these idiots but you have to be telepathic too.

I think you can report them now and ebay decides whether it warrants a neg or suspension or something. Still bloody annoying though.

Posted

Well it was my business account and from October

When we receive your report, it will usually be processed within 1 week.

1. Your report will be evaluated along with any reports about that buyer from other sellers and any additional information about the buyer.

2. Depending on what information we’ve available, a decision about what action is appropriate will be made.

3. We’ll take action as soon as possible, depending on our decision. These actions include educating the buyer to help improve his or her behaviour or issuing a warning, as well as more serious consequences, such as restricting or suspending the buyer’s account.

4. If a report leads to action against a buyer, Feedback and detailed seller ratings may also be removed from your account. These and other protective actions will be summarised in a monthly email.

so still no negs but the non payer gets a "you're a naughty boy" message from ebay.

On the subject of ebay......

6 hours left on the Bluebird, 0 bids, 95 watchers, a raft of stupid questions and no less than 4 no shows for viewing. Any banger boys or scrappies reading this? Because that's where a perfectly good car is heading.

You may remember that some goat-feltching scumbag broke into my shed a while ago and nicked a load of sockets. I had duplicates for the common sizes but there were some that I had bought individualy as they were odd sizes that you don't get in sets, like 15mm and 18mm.

Fitting a new trailing arm bush on the V****a this morning and guess what size sockets I needed? But hey, don't worry, I'll struggle with spanners.

No, really, it's fine, honest... :x:roll:

Departed a few days back for a three week stint working away oop north from my London abode.

Peasant Pug parked on the street, across from the flat so that my housemates can see if anyone slashes the tyres / bricks the windscreen / sets it on fire while I'm away.

Receive e-mail from them this afternoon, stating that this sign has just been erected by Brent Council.

I'm parked in the third bay. I won't be back home till the 23rd of October.

Bugger.

Phone em up and tell them. I think they can bung it on skates and wheel it out the way. They probably won't take much care over it though.

Good call - I think that's plan 'A'.

Plan 'B' involves asking a flatmate to move it - However, I've disconnected the battery negative terminal....plus the clutch friction plate is paper thin.

They may struggle to start it, and even if they did, might destroy the remnants of clutch, which I was hoping to use to get me back up to Scotland in November, where I can fit the new one I have in the boot...

Did you leave the keys at the house? If you don't trust your cohabiters perhaps one of us could shift it for you?

One of the no shows actually turned up - 10 minutes before I' explaied I had to go to work. Nonetheless he did like the car and has given a deposit on the proviso I took it off ebay. So it should be sold now, and collected tomorrow. Nice guy, but it isn't gone until I get the remainder......

Yes; I always leave them 'just in case'... Hoped not to have to call on a favour, though...(!)

I'll see what the council say tomorrow regarding shifting it / using dollies to shift it - I'm sure they'll be very helpful... :?
