Two and a bit year old Lobster_Jnr found a permenant marker today.

Tonight I shall mainly be having to repaint a wall

Bit like when my mate's [then 5 year old brother] wrote BELL END on the white board in his dad's home office. With what he thought was a board marker. Never mind.

Reliably told if you write 'f*ck off, you w*nker' with a matchstick on an unripened banana, then the purchaser maybe in for a shock after a day of it being left on his/her window sill.

Sitting listening to my entire collection of MP3s gathered over my several years on the internet, and several lost MP3 players which went unclaimed during my several years on the airport. My mate who fixed my computer a few months ago was kind enough to put more such MP3 gems on, as well as putting on some radio jingles...

... I've just been subjected to following tirade of diresome shit between some Deacon Blue and Depeche Mode.

"STEVE WRIGHT IN THE MORNING, NINETEEN-NINETY-FIVE!"

I've looked through the playlist and the fucker's put dozens of 'em in.

"GOOD MORNING U.K. THIS IS ONE-FM *Steve Wright trumpet theme* STEVE WRIGHT IN THE MORNING!"

Rather amusingly one of the best descriptions I've heard about him so far was on one of the jingles... "the throbbing pulse of sound"... I've written a strongly worded letter to the Points of View, put my foot through the transistor radio and sent the director general of the BBC the bill...

PAIN!!

somehow managed to do something to a muscle next to my left shoulder blade.. been in severe pain for 3days with it, can't lay on either side or on my back through the pain.. even with the co-codomol and deep heat applied, so having to stay awake until my eyes are popping out of their sockets(sometimes 6am) before being able to collapse and sleep through the pain barrier

My wife's laptop has a duff battery, and a noisy fan. She dismantled it today, cleared a huge amount of fluff out and put it back together again. The fan is still noisy but now some keys don't work. Now she knows how I feel after 'fixing' problems on the cars!

The flat ribbon from the keyboard will be on the squif. Release the socket, reinsert cable, lock the socket down.

The trackpad on my laptop has been behaving funny. Turns out it's an easy, but still pricey fix. The battery has swollen, a barely noticeable amount but enough to press upwards onto the trackpad mechanism. New battery is expensive, and irritating since this one still holds around three hours charge.

Also I've had to duct tape the power lead in so I don't accidentally knock it, which looks awful.

Battery swelling is sometimes a sign that all is not well, and modern batteries have badass chemicals in them.

We had one catch fire at work a couple of weeks ago... proper BANG! FLAMES!!! type fire.

Personally, I'd leave that battery out in the garden at night. Perhaps I'm overcautious.

Did you know haemarrhoids have grades like CSEs? Mine's grade 4 - a real pain in the arse. And I've got a cold. And it's been raining for the last forever. And I've probably got the spelling of the posh word for "piles" wrong.

This happened to me on the way to the airport last week. Unimpressed, I was.

Stick a inner tube in it - plenty more tread left on that !!!

At least you survived it which is the main thing :)

OH insists on putting the news on.

All those poor children :(

and then the f8cking Leveson inquiry. How much money (that apparently we don't have) is going on this whinge fest? Journos, bent coppers and politicians have been a bit naughty? Yeah, that's news alright.

What happened to those kids (Derby and London) doesn't bear thinking about. I've long since beeen against the death penalty but sometimes you do just wonder if it should be bought back in for some crimes.

I've always strongly believed that rather than just executing creatures like that, we should be using them for medical research purposes. The worst* outcome would be unexpectedly fatal side-effects, and somewhere down the line there could be a genuinely positive outcome for other people. But no doubt that would be a 'nazi-style' abuse of their rights.

Astra Estate has failed it's MOT.

Both sills have a series of holes in them, one with the bottom of the rear arch held on by filler and the brake pipes are shot.

I fear the bridge beckons as I don't really want to spend anymore money on it, I use the van mainly at the minute and as I only paid £400 for it a couple of years ago it's done quite well (174K on the clock I think).

Neither are good enough on diesel to do the 60 miles to work so will have to look at something a bit newer. :|

Quite. The BBC seem to be covering it in exhaustive detail as though they think that the nation is gripped by the whole thing. Thing is, surely most half sensible people knew that half the news in the news*papers is either made up or twisted to show something or other in a certain light and that most fleet st journos don't have any morals or standards.

I reckon if they'd slipped me a million quid I'd have set up the Lobster Enquiry and had the whole thing sorted in the afternoon at a fraction of the cost.

I'm grumpy 'cos I haven't managed to get the car properly valeted for Cholmongley tomorrow. MB overmats are still sitting in the shed and I haven't had a chance to rub the bodywork down with Blu Tac, errr, I mean clay bar. :(

The Volvo might get run through a car wash.

It might. Been too busy berating TDi Golfs with it.

If you get up early enough, speed "Da Unit" and do it first thing.

Failing that, take it through the carwash a la Rover 75 style

Grump: distinct lack of interest in any of my cars for sale, but 32 of my models sold! If I'm flogging those it's a sign of how bad things are. I put a new MoT on the pickup the other day (including a pair of used tyres) and still no calls. Bookshelves might be next in line to go, and my books are as much a part of me as my models...

I agree, although it is a shame he didn't take the opportunity to really hurt Tevez

Bastard stomach bugs. Toilet has been a friend since about Friday when my stomach started to suddenly churn and hurt. Couldnt understand what was going on, its not like eaten some evil curry or whatever. Cant sleep and not finding enough time/botheredness to go and do stuff, like splice the stereo wires in my Sterling so I can finally have some 80s music blasting out of the speakers. BAH!
