I have just watched the video and feel most sorry for the girl. She was asking her dad to pack it in from the moment he spotted Carragher, only sensible one involved.

Yep. I thought exactly the same thing.

Well said Louise. Of course its inexcusable to hockle on a child, but the thing that is most memorable about that video is the sheer delight in the voice of the car driver, that he’s managed to goad that pundit bloke into doing something awful on camera. If I had to choose who to kick in the bollocks, he would get it first while I was most energetic. You just know he’s the sort of cretin who will put in a massive whiplash claim if someone accidentally nudges him in a car park.

Of course, while we're busy frothing at the mouth about charities, benefit cheats, fake beggars and spurious disability claims, were just let the super-wealthy elite get on with raking money in from us and avoiding tax. While running the media. That tells us we need to get angry about charities, benefit cheats, fake beggars and spurious disability claims. Oh, and immigrants. Definitely them.

Whoah, a Wobbler political post that I agree with.  What's happening to me, am I turning into a leftie hippy in my middle age?

If you accept a prominent, public role (and its associated salary) then you expect to be pestered by the public. Ask any politician / actor / 'celebrity'.

Oh, that makes it ok then? It really isn't acceptable to be twattish to people just because they appear on the telly, or because they have more money than you do.

This is hilarious.  Are you just looking to take the other side to be edgy and controversial, or do you actually believe what was said was of such severity that it warranted a full blown losing of ones shit.

Nope, Ian. What I said is that they were both twats.

But people in the public spotlight ought to expect unwelcome attention from the Great Unwashed, and should know that their reaction will be subject to more scrutiny than ordinary members of the public.

Round our way they introduced permits for going to the dump. The dump is right on the border of 2 counties.

My parents who live 9 miles from the dump got a permit. My friends who live less than a mile from the dump, but in another county, did not get a permit. They have to drive >20 miles to the next closest dump.

Exactly the same issue I have. My local tip is 3-4 miles away, my council tip is a 16 mile round trip and can take over an hour because of traffic.

Saying this, both tips are operated by the same company and have a deal where you can use both this still doesn't stop them asking me where I live.

I agree with this - not that I condone it, but it does seem normal in relation to football.  It's actually one of many things that puts me off football, but however lamentable I regard it, taunting and "banter" really do come with the territory.

I actually hate the term ‘banter’ and think it’s massively overused by people to excuse asshole behaviour, but for once it’s actually about right. It’s not like he called his mother a slag or something, ffs.

It's not so much what he said but the way he said it.  He was doing it not to have a bit of "bantz" with someone from an opposing team but with the specific aim of getting someone "famous" to do / say something inappropriate on camera so he can post it to Facebook and get adulation from his "friends".

Quite. You see it with some rogue protesters too, shouting in the face of riot police to try and get them to lash out, so they can record some brutality and post it on YouTube. It's about as sensible as poking a tiger with a sharp stick. There's just no need.

If that footage of the footballer/whoever it was, was filmed on a camera phone, surely the guy who took it should be convicted/investigated for using a mobile phone when driving? That was my initial thought when I saw it first time.

They both have come out looking like a pair of bells.

Amazing how wound up some folk get over kicking a bit of leather around a field.

FFS! As if they needed any more evidence that this tool was using his phone while driving & not concentrating on the road.

Sets a great example for others, doesn't it?

I suspect its advice, rather than a conviction, as it may not be completely straightforward or easy to bring a conviction for both because of evidence. So the quick and easy thing is to lob them both on courses.

I fully agree - but it really does (from my limited experience admittedly) seem to be a facet of footlball and the way that a significant minority of "fans" behave - so it's regrettable but not unexpected - and in the same we generally expect the riot police not to cosh people even when they are "asking for it" yer man ought to be able to rise above it or get a different job.

Brakes on the pisshat lack bite despite new calipers on the back and pads/discs on the front.

Started to change brake fluid - my one man bleeder only succeeded in making me bleed the rear twice - the nipples on the front calipers are seized so.it is jacked up until tomorrow when I can get some heat on them.

Fucking pot holes. Saw a lump on the OSF of the wife's car on Sunday, booked in to get fixed today. Got a call this morning, another one punctured. I'm 125 miles away with work, so got my mechanic mate to go round and have a look. All 4 tyres are fucked with lumps on the side walls. Say goodbye to £630!!

Folk's, don't ever used Together Energy to supply gas and electric, they cant add up, you pay them £123 for an £82 bill and they reckon your £40 in arrears!!!!!!!

I wish they would bring pre payment tariffs down, I would rather have that.

A couple of years ago (or more) a local car dealer brought a ten year old x-type Jaguar in for mot.Obviously both outer sills were non existent so it subsequently failed. He wasn't happy and insisted the sills were plastic so can't be rotten.I even showed him the gaping great holes you could lose an arm in but he was still unimpressed.Anyway, he's never been back since. I have heard he bad mouths me saying I'm too strict, too harsh on older cars but whatever.

Now this twat lives in a large village 3 miles away and for the last year has been selling cars from a forecourt of that villages garage (good customers of mine). They've told me before he said he won't come to me because I'm too strict. They were just fucking great holes in that Jag I didn't need to poke at it. So yesterday the garage man comes in for a test and says Paul needs a car testing but his mot station is booked until Wednesday told him to come and see me . Well I am booked up anyway but matey again says nah he's too strict.I don't want this twat as a customer but it got me thinking. How many people in his village has he been telling I'm too strict and how many customers have I lost because of him.

Today my assistant only went and booked him in for a test on Thursday. He slags me off one day then the next has the audacity to book a car in for an mot.My assistant couldn't understand why I was miffed.

It's a Citroen C1 and I can already see the failure sheet now.

Exhaust bracket corroded away = exhaust insecure....check

Anti-rollbar rubbers split and perished = excessive movement in a suspension bush....check

Three pot engine so = lambda reading excessive after second fast idle.....check

Cost of mot £54.85....check

Its fucking shit isn't it! I hit one today that I couldn't avoid, had to pull over and check the wheel. Did the whole slow right down and brace my self thing. My steering is fucked as it is, and I'm hoping I can put off the new parts until the worst are 'repaired' so I don't take the piss with cheap ebay steering rods and track rod ends

Sick of house hunting / mortgage bullshit / whatever already.

Found a property I want to buy but it’s a new build so I need to pay a reservation deposit and agree to exchange in 28 days even though the fucking thing won’t be finished until August

Could use an extra month and another months invoice paid to give some breathing room with the deposit money but if I wait I’ll risk losing the one I really want

Fuck off.

Or to move to Wales. The roads here are in remarkable shape! Sure, the odd pothole generated by winter, but otherwise, they're lovely.
