I think I've got a few 2gb micro sd cards (or 4, ill check, think their 2 though) if the camera will see them through a micro-full size SD adapter? I'll have a look in a bit

Posted

Can't find the fair few I had, although not looked exhaustivly yet. Found a 1gb SD and 2gb microSD if that helps anyone though?

Had two batteries pack up this weekend.  The one on the Mazda died on Saturday - charged it up and it's apparently still putting out 12.65v, but it hasn't got enough oomph to start the car.  The battery on the red Rover now also seems to have died - putting out barely 6 volts and won't take a charge.  Bollocks.

Maybe - not my cuppa tea but ok in a gothy flat chested kinda way . Certainly not employed for their brains or customer service

After singing the praises of my lovely old Seat Leon, it rewards me with failed central locking on the drivers door and the minor clutch judder from cold now feels like a bongo playing elephant has decamped to my bell housing.

Anyone have any idea why one door would stop working on a VAG motor? I had a look at a VAG forum but couldn't understand a word of it.

On our golf I believe rain bypassed the seals on the windows and caused problems. Also on a friend's Passat leaves blocked the drains under the scuttle and sent water into a fuse box. On some Audi's there is a joint in the rear screen washer tubing that fails and means screen wash leaks into the MMI computery thingy.

My OH used to get in so much trouble for not locking the golf, or leaving the windows open. Or unlocking it with his key after I had locked it while leaving it in a carpark.

When I found out it wasn't him after all but this problem with water ingress, I kept quiet and made no effort to apologise, naturally.

Now that I've said this, however, next time I drive my Xantia, something catastrophic will go wrong in accordance with Sod's Law.

I pulled away from the kerb this morning, travelled about 50 yards when this silly cow drove down the road towards me. I stopped where there were empty spaces on her side of the road, so that she could pull in and we could both carry on. If I hadn't of done this it would have meant one of us reversing all the way back to one end of the road. She has tons of space, it's an easy, straightforward manoeuvre. Logical even.

Instead of pulling into the spaces, letting me drive on and then she carrying on with her journey, she decided to stop dead, right in the middle of the road and just stare dumbly at me. I point at her and at the space. Nothing. Just that dumb stare.

I then point at her steering wheel and mime her turning it. Nothing. Dumb stare. She eventually gets the idea and we both go on our way. Her blank, dumb expression never changed one iota throughout all of this. I give up.

Bought some tyres on Ebay for the finance-drainer that is the Honda. Seller emails me that they don't know when they'll actually have them in stock. FFS. Don't advertise stuff you don't actually have! Refund issued. Sacked Ebay off and went to Mytyres instead.

It was the scathing remark about flat chested that I thought was crossing a line. She's there earning minimum wage so she at least has some sort of job, not providing an ogling service.

This is interesting as a couple of times in the past I have returned to the car to find a window open, and sometimes the window won't close fully without suddenly going down again. Think some contact cleaner on a few connectors might be in order first. Cheers Louise! Who needs Watchdog for decent consumer advice eh?

She wasnt worth minimum wage ! I must admit to paying almost zero attention to her looks but was astounded by her stupidity and lack of concern about being useless as a meet/greet person.

Actually I haven't. Bums don't do anything for me and I've always been a bit odd in never liking a boy band or celebrity crush or whatever. I like real people I know.

I certainly don't measure the performance of the guy in the coffee shop by the size of the bulge in his trousers.

ETA I did rather take my annoyance about the other thread out on you though, and I do apologise about that. I also understand the sentiment of your original post and that that comment was a secondary probably light hearted response to a question about her looks, so you didn't necessarily "start it". Sorry TS.

I made the mistake of thinking my tax return would be easy this year. If I could ever remember my bloody ID, then it could be! Every sodding year. Now on hold to the sodding Post Office as they're one of several companies who can apparently sort out my ID. I think I picked the wrong company. FFS. ANSWER THE PHONE!

Having failed massively in undoing the crankshaft pulley bolt on the MG ZT KV6 for the timing belt change I have had to resort to hiring an electric impact wrench as a last resort. A big Makita thingy. Long breaker bar didn't work, as didn't using the starter motor. Next attempt will be on Thursday...

Watched some stupid old fucker drive his T reg Peugeot 206 the wrong way around a sizeable roundabout (Bournes Green for the locals) earlier. As I waited to enter the roundabout, I watched about six cars stop dead and slowly drive around him, then I had to do the same halfway round as he came ambling towards me.

Trouble is what do you do in a situation like that? I could have blocked him with the works van but knowing my luck and how doddery he was he would probably have driven into it, resulting in an insurance claim and a load of paperwork I could do without.

Tried to renew my Disability permit badge thingy.

Great i can do it online i thought,Filled in online questionaire, got to end & found i need to send them "Certified" coppies of Driving licence, bank statement & Dwp proof of benefits.

So whats fuckin point of having it online when i not only have to send them stuff but have to go to main post office & pay them £8.75 to "certify" documents.

It was easier when i could just do it at local council office.

I had something similar on a roundabout the other day in Bridgend, I stopped and waited for the impact with my eyes shut, as I had seen the other driver's look of panic, just before they steered at me. I still don't know what they did to avoid me as when i opened my eyes again they had gone.

Local mums had filled up the residents bays where I live forcing me to park on the road outside my house.

The result of their illegal trespassing was a £35 fine for me.

After panicking a bit the other day, today my wife unearthed a forgotten cache of four 2gb TDK SDs that I misappropriated from my previous job.

Grump sidelined for the forseeable.

Whsts pissing me off at the moment , is that I'm parked on the M1 northbound just south of Toddington and have been since about 5.30. Lorry fell over apparently plus fuel spilage. I've finished my book and now The Archers has finished, all I've got left is annoying you lot.

To make matters worse one of my evil daughters has just sent me a picture of the sirloin they're having, with the dog looking very enviously at my one on the board!

Found the wheel trim again, and why it fell off.

The wire had slipped round the outside of a couple of the clips while I fitted it, so it wasn't pushing them outwards properly.

I rectified that, and it grips onto the wheel much better now.

(See the off topic board for more information).

I apologise that my badly posed question prompted a mildly offensive answer.

I should of course have asked if the B&Q greeters had other redeeming qualities having firstly ascertained that their intellect wasn't the reason they were employed.

Finally home, 2hours 45 minutes stationary . All for a little 7.5 tonne road sweeper on its side on the hard shoulder - fuckin Highways Agency power trip , again.
