Oh dear, I know who owns that Golf! She was down in Rochester from Huddersfield this morning.

I noticed it appeared on facebook and the owner found it, but I had no problem with where that was parked. Speaking of which, I get home to find.........

Time to sit on the horn until the owner comes out then give them a massive bollocking

Have left an A4 note under the wipers. Resisted the urge to duck tape it to the windscreen......

Laminate it and superglue to the screen?

I've never seen that car in the street so assume they're a visitor. Ordered a sign from ebay which I have no doubt* people will adhere to

Might not quite fit on the drive though. I guess I could aim the barrel through the living room window.

I know modern cars BUT. I was behind a 16 plate Octavia today with huge tail light clusters. So why make the indicators tiny and unable to see in sunshine. I have noticed a few lately. Lets have big orange indicators for us old folk please.

I nearly ran up the arse of a golf once that just seemed to brake for no apparent reason.

It was only when they let off the brake that I saw the tiny round indicator on the centre of the brake light!!!

In the daytime, the indicators on these are almost always invisible.

At the back, the worst offenders have to be these two.

2005-8 seems to be the period when cars were designed so that the sun would reflect off headlight clusters to turn indicators invisible.  It's also the period when rear light clusters had either vestigial indicators, overly bright brake lights or both which also rendered them invisible.  Not that it matters, the amount of people that don't use indicators at all is pretty shocking... and I'll stop there before I fall into a rant about driving standards.

Dont normally complain about driving but over the last week I seem to have missed the email saying that red lights are optional.  The amount of people just jumping them is ridiculous.

Has anyone else noticed a recent trend while out on the roads of Audi cars being driven to a reasonable standard? What will they pull out of the bag next? I noticed a similar thing with shitting Peugeots a few years ago, I assume it's when certain models move on to their second owners who buy them with their own actual cash will have at least a modicum of respect, but that theory is now challenged by the arrival of some odd looking small hatchback things, don't know what they are but have a great big black X on the front, they do seem to be driven courteously so far.

Anyway, it's becoming quite apparent how poorly some indicators are designed now we're seeing them used. Worst one I've seen is something Volkswang where the faggy repeater on the door mirror is way more visible from behind than the pale yellow suggestion from deep within a blingy bollocks and baubles rear cluster.

Having to use my old laptop as the new one is updating its hated windows 10 shit. It has been updating since ten this morning and is now up to 32% done. Piece of utter shit!

Talking of invisible indicators, the mk4/5? Golf with them hidden right next to the headlight so they are invisible at night.

Bugger, noticed last night when I was driving the OH's Tucson there was a whine when in gear, I haven't driven it for a while so thought nothing of it, (every car sounds noisy after driving the S80 :) ). She used it this morning and said she only noticed the whine yesterday and now it was much louder. I'm hoping the gearbox oil just needs topped up, but I wonder where it's gone? I'm really really hoping it's nothing more serious as we just don't have any spare money right now to sort it.

Mine did this - some warning you were planning something that took fookin ages would've been nice Mirosoft bastards.

It was probably fine on their test mainframe (which doubtless occupies an entire city block of San Jose...)  :ssch00101:

I thought I was imagining that but yes, I've noticed that too. Particularly noticeable with things like Audis where cockery is usually the first order, it's a pleasant driving surprise when there's one being piloted with a modicum of respect for other road users. The new Ford Focus has replaced the Audi as the twatwagon of choice locally, I find myself in the habit of given them a wide berth because of the number of times the drivers of them appear to have no idea what they're doing.

Yes indeed, I have just seen an Audi indicate! However, he is not out of the club yet as his road positioning was beyond terrible (over the middle of the road and it looked like the manoeuvre was already half completed) it was white with black windows and 'bangin' tunes' emanating from within .

YOU ARE ALL BEING FOOLED!

aldi drivers still have no notion of consideration but they have new fancy "pulsing" indicators and they are just showing off- trouble is some of them havent realised they're not fitted to all models lol

Wednesday is traditionally Kinky girl comes for a visit day. But we decided as we've just been off for the weekend I should stay home and do Ma's painting in a stop her being a moaning old witch sort of way. Ma is informed I will be painting.

Ma wakes me up at 10am today just so she can score some points with "you'd have been up by now if you was going with HER". FFS, normally  I'm up at 7:30 am every day because you bang around like an elephant to make sure I don't get "extra" sleep. If you was quiet like you was today on purpose I'd sleep all day then too.

So I do painting to a constant background noise of "you can still go with HER if you want". STFU and let me get on with it FFS.

TL DR:

Quality time with Ma sucks ass.

The time has come either to do something about or stop mentioning it endlessly on here.  The power to change your situation is in YOUR hands alone - unless you're with KG, in which case your hands will be otherwise occupied...  ;)

Do it.
