Cooking Pandas are far more fun than they ought to be, not tried a 100HP but I've heard the suspension is a bit tiresome. The sweet spot is probably putting a 1.2 16v SuperFIRE in, 85 BHP and a 16v isn't as wheezy as the 8v FIRE is. I forget the diseasels exist, can't imagine they'd be much fun TBH.

Something I've thought about often... not sure how much is different between the two engines.

£200 nd brkn xbox 2nite m8?

I really quite fancy a 100hp as my next run about although they are still a bit rich for me. I've only ever read good things about them online.

I have a theory that men won't admit they made a mistake buying them and keep saying how great they are.

The ride is terrible, the back end never stops bouncing around - ever.  The damn car is a nightmare to drive in stop start traffic, a too light throttle, brakes that grab, a really unpleasant combination.  The powaah comes in a big lump at the top end and is addictive, I really was going to either crash or get ticketed as it egged you on to drive like a teenage herbert.

So it's great for b road blasts but as a daily I found it uncomfortable and annoying and sold mine within months of purchase.

Quite a few have replaced springs and shocks for aftermarket or even "normal" panda oem, it's one of those things, you either can live with it or not.

I salute Aston for being willing to admit his disdain for the 100hp. - What replaces it though? An Alessi?  Fix up the Parade? MK4 TwinAir?

I like the look of the 100hp but I've got no use for one.

Shame really cos I do want one.

I would love an orange Alessi, because they look stupid. 8)

It's impossible finding one though. Autotrader has one for £3k.

Parade still resting, I haven't got the space to do anything with him yet.

I'm not sure yet, I could just buy a random banger for £200 and run it into the ground... or, be stupid and get something shiny and new on PCP. £130 a month, new car every three years, no tax, cheap insurance, good on petrol and no hassle.

They look amazing. Especially white with sunroof.

Escort 1. Bmw 0.

Dropping afriend off last night and cars parked on opposite side of road to me not far from his house. Bmw swerves out then brakes and reverses back into a gap as there is no room for him. I thank him and pass his car. He doesn't wait for me to get out the way or misjudge his gaps and ends up running his drivers side down my rear quarter. Negligible damage to mine, small dent and scuff on rear end. His,not so good. Creased wing, door etc. Swapped details. Is it possible for me to ring his company straight off?

Mice have eaten the pipework and wiring on the Piazza.

Anyone got a shotgun? Turning it on my wallet might stop from spending money on other things.

Probably post-Chrimbo blues, but I f*cking hate work at the moment and I'm counting down the days to retirement, which will hopefully be 2021, possibly 2019.

You as well, Billy?

2018 for me, although I plan to work on for about a year at 2 nights a week.

6 months before retirement age, the company I work for drops you down to 4 shifts a week for the same pay, as a 'thank you' for all your hard work.

Can't wait.

I can go at 55 but almost certainly won't be able to afford to I don't think. Aiming for 57 and all being well that will do me, though I'll do a couple of days a week working for myself.

I'm 52 next week and the best I can hope for is to pop my clogs before I can't work anymore, hoping for another 20 years- it helps that I love my job,I suppose.

I dread thinking about retirement. I have a workplace pension now, had it about 2 years. No idea what's in it though.

I'm only 29 though, it wouldn't surprise me if the gubbermint decides I won't be allowed to retire... And Dysons will probably be so complicated and non user servicable that that avenue of beer money will be long gone by then

Not looking forward to retiring completely, the idea of sitting round the house all day fills me with dread. I do reckon though that the skinter I am, the more I'll push myself into doing something.

Kind of in that situation myself now. Retired electrician. Although the plan isn't exactly, err, going as planned! Great to have loads of time to work on cars/house/garden etc, but weather and motivation causes problems. No work routine etc. Plus massive lack of money of course.

Am seriously thinking of getting some part time work of some kind. Amazingly I miss going to work in a way!

Bus drivers seem to be needed around here, but that may be for a good reason.

You'd better start selling more vauxhalls then to get the money up

Pension - LOL! I will have to work until I drop dead.

Hopefully Tuesday, the way things are going at the mo.

thanks to the well fed bastards populating Downing Street my retirement has gone from 2032 to 2040. And I can't afford to go then anyway as my pension is now needed to pay for osbournes whoring bill.

Interesting comments re the Panda 100hp. I've actually just bought one of these, picking it up at the weekend.

I've had my eye on them for quite a while and been looking "seriously" recently. I paid a little more than I wanted but got a 1 owner (plus supplying dealer) 32k mile car with sunroof.

I' very uncomfortable to be out of banger territority money-wise but if I don't like it it in 6 months time I'll sell it privately and get another Focus, prob a mk2 next time.

Got (i.e will have) two hopeless previous work place pensions, a pretty low FSP from last owners of current works and an average FSP from current owners. Want to take three previous pensions (if poss) at 55 then  take current one at 57 and leave work. Motivation is one of the things that worries me about leaving (need a reason to get up) so if I rent a small yard and get a recovery truck, I can suit myself.

Kinky girl has bastard cold. I have a different bastard cold. So yesterday's liaison was spent cross pollinating and not doing the kinky things. Decided to have a nice restful day today, but then wholesale place chucked out 2 disco full of pallets, so why not grab them and knacker myself breaking them up?

I think Valantines is going to be spent sharing lemsip.

I retire in six weeks time, it's beginning to stress me, mainly anxiety about the unknown. I don't hate my job, I just hate dealing with people. I should be able to exist on my (much reduced by going early) pension, but suspect that I'll end up looking to do something work-like within a year.

At the moment my job has gone stupid, with all the things I want to sort out before I go and with all the extra things coming out of the woodwork that other people want me to sort out. In some ways I shall be sad to leave certain things unfinished and already feel a bit guilty about leaving colleagues in the lurch, on the other hand, most days I wish I had finished in December and not agreed to do another three months to the end of the financial year in March.

That Alessi is 1k too much!

Wait until the salts off te roads and get the parade going again.

If I see a green alessi, I will buy it!

Just traced my old pension was worth 8k when I stopped paying into it, probably worth less now, given OMGBANKKAOS.

I can't retire until I'm at least 67 and have no pension for three months as NI contributions were fucked up in the 90's.

So that's February 2035 when I can retire - Yippee 19 years to go!

I'm now paying into one of those workplace pension schemes. I'm not gullible enough to think I'll ever see any of that money again. Nor am I expecting to see any of the money I've been paying into my state pension. So that leaves me working until the day I die.
