Why have they then told me my personal allowance is £9440.

If my personal allowance is as .GOV website suggests £10,000 then I owe them 20% of £151

Not the £142.20 they have asked for, which incidentally is my entire wage for March.

They make me a kind of sick I cant put words to other than to say I want to vomit my brain through my eye sockets.

It depends on your tax code and if you owe them tax from previous employment . I'm guessing your tax code is l944

The Romanian neighbours had a metric fuckload of rubbish sticking out of their wheeliebin and all around on the floor this morning. OBV the binmen won't take extra bin bags or a wheelie bin with the lid open.  Bad luck I thought as I deposited our full-but-closed bin next to theirs on the kerbside ready for collection at 5am this morning

When Mrs Lankytim took LankyJnr to school at 8.30 she found the sneaky fuckers had taken the excess out of their own bin and stuck it in ours meaning our lid was now wide open instead of theirs and now wouldn't be collected!

she had to take the excess black bags out and stick them in our neighbours bin (with permission) as theirs was empty. Fortunately the bin men were late this morning so it wasn't a problem.

I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING SO FUCKING CHEEKY IN MY LIFE, THE CHEEK OF IT. FOREIGNERS E.T.C.

Television. No not the normal rant. My tellybox (or should that be tellypanel these days? its not box-shaped any more) has a black casing. The buttons on the front are not actual "buttons" in the normal sense but little touch-sensitive spots in the plastic, like a laptop cursor pad thing. They are defined by dark grey symbols on them so basically you need to shine a torch at the fucker to see what button does what.

This problem is becoming a serious gripe as the remote has packed up and a replacement costs 50% of what I paid for the whole bloody telly. Will have to see if these universal things will work it..... Its brand X shite, so maybe, maybe not. Obviously I probably wont know for sure until I buy the remote and find it doesnt.

I only use it as a big monitor for watching films from the computer - might just sack it off altogether.

I'll just put it I the bin like every other letter asking me to do the impossible.

They can try mailing it again to my campervan.

So really all you need to know where the on/off button is, where the input selector is and maybe volume (if you didn't hook it up to your stereo yet). That shouldn't be too hard to figure out and then there's tippex.

Sounds like that are talking about a previous year SambaS, 944L was the normal tax code a few years back and if it were current year they would amend your tax code for the money. I wouldn't just ignore them as their penalties are very OTT.

Dave a friend of mine keeps changing tv channels in pubs using a tv remote app on his phone. I don't know the name of it but I'm sure someone techy will know on here.

Nice one, where is it? I really really want one, but the site fees at most places are eye watering, plus all the other stuff they cobble on.

I'll put some details up in the LT section of Vannys place, costings and whatnot and if you are passing pop in for a brew and look round.

Samsung watch on. I've found with a bit of judicious jiggery pokery I can change the channel in next doors room with my phone.

Passes the time.

GP doing a refrral to the local pain clinic. That'll be exciting and no doubt of huge use*. If they offer me CBT I may have to kill them. With fire.

I got the option of a speed awareness course instead of my points but the website you go on to book the course has crashed.

I finally got in. Course are available in England, Wales and Northern Ireland but not Scotland. FUCKING RACISTS!

So I have to drive to Carlisle to do a course and probably end up getting a speeding ticket on the way.

Had weeks of ball ache with Sky when Granny_HH-R moved a while back, incorrect bills, delays, etc which meant her help button didn't work and couldn't contact anyone. They also can't retain the old number for some reason, which is annoying as she still has (or had, pre move) a Buzby branded card with the old number on, lost the number that she's had since the 70s.

I have no idea what happens if you take other peoples rubbish bags (possibly containing personal details on letters etc) and fly tip them somewhere.

There is nothing wrong with Apple. Good for them. It's all the i-idiots who i-queue up for i-something i-rubbish because Apple.

If you were Apple wouldn't you i-exploit the i-gullibility of these i-sheep?

A little while ago, my front garden was full of crap I assume came from someone's car / glovebox. This included several letters / fag packets / general detritus.

So, Jiffy bag the lot and pop it in the post (no stamp), addressed to the guy in the letters.

If only I could have been there when he paid his excess postage to get his 'parcel'.

My Samsung galaxy watch lasts for about 5 days. Cost about £150 and makes you look like you're talking to KITT when you use it as a phone.

Tbh they are a bit gimmicky but I got my with a big discount and it's been really useful.

Anyway as this is the grump thread. Fucking PayPal for some reason wanted me to pay £1.90 to send some money as a gift but free if it was a normal payment. Of course as I'm a cock I hit send instead of back so it passed the £1.90 charge on to the other person. Why do I have an account that charges no matter what???

Exactly, and just like the clever advertising of a certain German marque, sheep will follow and sheep will believe.

Just found out that the chap who helped me learn to drive, taught my dad to drive, sold me the Yaris and was a friendly and familiar face for 20+ years passed away recently due to cancer.

RIP Peter, you'll be be sorely missed.

Blake has started to exhibit signs of hip failure.  He's a German Shepherd (working shape rather than slopey pedigree shape) so it's to be expected but it's really upset me.  I know what happens next and I'm not ready for that.

aaaww sorry to hear about that!
