Hi Sam, really sorry but I made a mistake, got our old vax out today to sell as I didn't get on with it and realised it was the exact same model as the one that you are selling, I feel so stupid but also awful for letting you down as this is not a normal practice for me, I can only apologise profusely.

ERM I'm not selling a Vax... Nice to be told but fucking £70 would have been gr9!

There a bloke at college whos said in the past about him doing some track days. Mentioned the old post on here about there being one on December 1st and said I've the chance of getting a primera so we could go for a laugh.

He got a bit of a shit on about it. "why would you want to drive that?" "don't get in front of the big boys* they won't like it". Fuck them and fuck you! If I want to drive some chod round a track then it's you that's missing out :-)

'Big boys'? What a knob rocket, I hope you find something slower than the Primera now and take that instead.

I've been on track days where "big boys" have been black flagged for bullying other cars on circuit. It's not allowed and they get kicked out.

The last time it was a Mitsubishi evo with 500bhp, he was on track for less than half an hour before he was removed for the day. No refund, you're gone.

As for getting in the way, I've had people get in my way before, you put up with it, ease off for a bit then push again on the next lap, it's no big deal.

The track days I've been on (MSV organsied iirc) were all very polite and civilised affairs.

Are you allowed to overtake stuff on a track day or not?

I could bring the 205D?

Or the Dyane...

Overtaking is usually by invitation, you pull over to the right and indicate right and the car passes on the left .... No racing allowed.

Even in slow cars it's not that bad, my Daihatsu maxxed out at around 90mph on the straights at Cadwell and everything on track was faster on the straights, so when hitting the straight you check the mirrors and move to the right.

Track etiquette is covered in the briefing before the day starts.

Thanks for clearing that up - I've wondered for a while now.

It's been doing my bonce in all day trying to work out the wreck I saw on a spec lift today. Proudly displaying P plates it had the passenger door mangled to fuck, but no other real damage to that side. Drivers side rear wheel was at 45 degrees, no other damage anywhere else. Air bags gone bang, so must have been moving at the time.

Only thing I can come up with is was going past a junction n got t boned, n pushed into the other kerb to bend the wheel. Just feels a bit unlikely. Crap start to somebodies driving career.

Arse massaging seats apparently.

To offset the puckering you'll do on every trip, waiting for the dash to light up "ABC Fault"?

I jest, that looks excellent.  I worked with a guy years ago who had a CL600 of the previous shape, he reckoned it was relatively cheap to run if you were careful.

Fixed...

Although if you buy it, I may have to do a shit under your Christmas tree. (ok, not really)

One of the few cars that makes the P38 Range Rover look efficient and reliable. I lobbed a bid in thinking "i'll not get it for that". I did.

Oh yeah, and welcome to the (possibly broken) Merc club.

I can't find the thread on my phone but someone wanted an autoshite track day. Conclusion was expensive to hire a track so left it there was a track day December 1st some place in North Yorkshire. Don't know who's going

The M40 birmingham to warwick is totally fucked this morning and I'm sitting in the jam. I know it's a minor gripe, but at the moment it's the main one I have.

Oh yes, and I have stressed something in my left elbow during the gym session last night.

Where's this December 1 track day, chaps?

I don't know if it's happening as such, SambaS was on about  Croft around then I think

A mobile chicane. Think of the slowest car in my fleet. That's what I'm taking.

I was considering doing Rockingham on the 13th in the MX-3.

You agree a price for a job,

We both sign a contract for the work with that price all over it,

Work commences,

You pay the invoice with the prices we agreed,

The day after paying the invoice you complain saying it was much more than was agreed and and demand that I 'make it right'

1. It's what we agreed and we signed a contract agreeing to it.

2. IF YOU THOUGHT THE INVOICE WAS WRONG WHY THE FUCK DID YOU PAY IT?

This is what happens when you try to do a favour for a friend of a friend. I should've learnt this ages ago.

Bloodybuggeringfuckinarseing front anti roll bar links on panda. Every sodding year I have to change them. It doesn't matter if they're China value own brand or Fiat finest, they last one year and that's it. (Guess what? The panda just failed on them)

Off to look for a tree branch.....

NPower are chasing me for £500 from the Bolsover property I left 2 years ago.  They had (and have confirmed they have) my forwarding address from Bolsover and have had 2 years to contact me, but waited until I moved a second time before sending debt collection final demand letters after me.

Best of all, the money they're chasing me for is from late October until late March the following year.  I left the property in late November.  I also made sure to wrap up any outstanding amount and give meter readings when I left, something else they confirmed.  And yet they have made up a moving out date of the 1st of January, which I'm sure is a number they pulled out of their collective arse.

This is not the first time NPower have really pissed me off.  I have nothing at all favourable to say about that company.

There's a car 1 month older than mine in the car park, not happy.

L830NTO, a golf cabriolet with awful aftermarket wheels.

Not amused, I held the title prior to this...

The flat was in swmbos name, the current house is in mine, no twigging has occured their end yet!
