I gave up with it after too many crap posts blocking my wall and a AS forum member told me to fuck off and called me a cu*t on there.

That doesn't surprise me. Not because I think you're a c**t, but because FaceAche is (in) famously awful for that sort of thing. I've not only sacked off AS on there but quite a few 'cars for sale' type pages because the absolute and utter stupidity and keyboard warrior-ness of people is too much to stand.

I;m not Ben Smith and i'm not defending him as the argument was silly. Ahhh.... Folk squabbling on the internet. Bit like road rage eh? If the participants ever actually met in person and face to face it would be very different! Would be all "after you, no after you, please, you were first, so sorry" etc.

I consider it like a "Triage" centre, before referring people to the Mothership. It keeps the loonies off here.  I am going to be pruning them down shortly. A couple of hundred will be leaving. They don't know it yet. There's more members than on here, at least active ones that is.

Try to help my brother update his build thread.  Log out of my photobucket, untick the auto-sign in box, try and sign in through his Facebook account.  Photobucket ties his Faceboook to my Photobucket account.  Then Photobucket won't let us find his Photobucket account.  Then Photobucket tries to tell me I need to update Java for Windows 7 or it won't let me disconnect the two accounts that shouldn't be connected and I have to quicktime the fuck out of it to disconnect the two accounts.

I started watching some film on BBC about those Magdalene Laundries earlier. I can stomach most stuff that the TV throws at me, from documentaries about factory farming to films by Michael Haneke but that was just too depressing, had to give up halfway through. In most cases of real-life horror inflicted on large groups of unfortunates you can be fairly certain that the Catholic church will be somewhere not far away.

AS FB page? Can be OK, but like anything else on FB it's subject to far more 'passing trade' than a specialist forum on a quiet backwater like this gets so there's bound to be a fair degree of arse-ery on it. My take on it is that while there are a few bods on there who are worth talking to I'll talk to them, the rest I can ignore and if they seriously piss me off FB has an excellent blocking feature.

 

I'm seriously concerned for Schumacher. I know he's a bit of a Marmite type and not everyone is as into F1 as I am, but to me Schumi is the greatest F1 driver of our generation, possibly ever. He won 7 world championships, some of them in a shite car that had no business being anywhere near the podium. I really hope he pulls through this.
