I opened the door and yelled at him - politely, had to yell to be heard though - to ask him to turn it down, he asked "Why?" "Because it's too loud." FFS, what is WRONG with people. Say goodbye to your hearing if you carry on like that, wanker. To be fair, he has turned it down, I shouldn't have had to justify myself by lying about needing to sleep though, grrr.

Has anyone ever seen what a Formula One car can do when it hits a car or person at top speed? Or what it can do to the driver? A Marshall in the wrong place at the South African GP in 1977 got hit by Tom Pryce at racing speed, both killed instantly.

It was a 4-hour endurance race, so entrants to the race probably need access to the pits and paddock; also that no-one's been daft/narcissic enough to want to do that in the previous however many race meetings that have taken place, so it probably wasn't deemed necessary.

 

There was that defrocked priest that walked onto the track a Silverstone in 2003, but he was a pedestrian.

About 10 years ago some retards got onto the track on the Saturday night of the British Grand Prix in an MGF, one of them ended up dead if my memory serves me.

I remember because I was driving into the circuit with some guys from the Grand Prix Ball at Stowe school at about 2.00 am and there were blue lights everywhere.

I think they were helicopter ground crew or something like that and after drinking all night decided to do a lap 4 up.

Anyhow my grump is that I just went to put the new number plate on the GT6 and I seem to have drilled the holes wonky despite spending about 20mins measuring and lining it all up so everything has been hurled into the garage and I have got some Red Stripe an ting.

 

The plate is fine, it's the Triumph that's wonky...

Here you go Vulg, my old man's renting this out. The only catch is he lives at the bottom of the garden in a coachhouse* (stone shed) when he's not in France. Lots of parking for shite although there's a few cars already in the paddock belonging to Fatha N, me and my brothers.

More than happy to take your money and do a deal for cash for a fine upstanding member of tha AS community ( especially as I'm supposed to be doing the renting out).

Might be a bit Southern for you though. And the neighbours are the mental old WI type biggots off Little Britain.

VERY cheap cough Performance Pro pillar drill I got recently, the chuck fits into the head just by pressure, so first time I use it on some aluminium sheet and the drill sticks the chuck/bit fall out.

 

Then while trying to press the chuck back in I pulled one of the levers off the hand pulling down bit, threads have just ripped off that, arse.

 

 

Currently bidding on some rusty old shite on Ebay to replace it. Better old and rusty than new and crap.

 

 

On the plus side the table saw I've refurbed and fitted with new blade etc. cut the aluminium a treat.

The guy selling it hadn't bothered to put a new one on but said he was sure it would pass as it had only done 1k in a year !

There's been a pretty horrific smash near us today. Four people killed on the main road that heads from here to Llangurig - quite a few of you would have driven it on the way to/from Shitefest. One child flown to hospital in a critical condition. Quite sobering, especially after the mother killed in a smash on the M40 last week (her newborn child in the back survived). Airbags are useful, but hit a truck at high speed (both cases here) and you're f*cked. 

 

Probably a fair warning to myself really. I do like to drive pretty quickly. Only takes a moment's break in concentration and it can all go very wrong, very quickly.
