Changing the radiator on a VW Bora (mk4 Golf/A3/Leon etc) the screws to hold the radiator in place are behind the bumper and headlights ffs. The battery and various other things need to be removed or moved to get the rad out as well. Oh and If the car has aircon then there are aircon pipes in the way as well .... What a pain that was.

Oh, and because changing the rad on the boring took so long I haven't been able to get the Lancia to the garage to look at the busted bonnet release .... I also have earache.

Is it a suitcase 1124 or a TU 1124?

My cat has decided to encourage me to keep the house tidy, by pissing on any clothes I leave on the floor. This morning I picked up a shirt and held it to my face to check if it was clean enough for another day's use and buried my face in piss covered material. :|

Posted

Another reason why I wont have any animals in the house... and I really want a cat :(

Posted

Don't take this the wrong way, but a healthy, happy, house trained cat won't piss or shit on the floor unless there's something wrong.

True. Though when they become really old and senile, they can start doing it in 'worrying' places.

Edd, do you fancy coming and cat-sitting for us when I'm away tat-papping in the foreign? (Work allowing, of course.)

Posted

True. I put it down to her litter tray being full and me forgetting to clean it out. I am a terrible person.

Poor pussy cat! Sounds like you got what you deserved then!

I'd love to, when will that be? Just hope I find a job asap so I can get some moolar coming in and buy my Jimp back. I've totally lowered my job prerequisits now I'm even looking at factory work :?

We're usually in Thailand for December and January. Normally my folks are around at that time, but sometimes they pop off for a week somewhere else. That's when cat-sitters are reqd. I'll add you to the list of possibles!

Factory work would leave your brain free to dream about shite (even more). Are you sure that'd be healthy?!

Found out yeaterday morning that a bunch of cock knocker YOOFS have been up our street kicking the mirrors off cars. Our Maud's 306 has fallen victim. Even though the mirrir was already taped on, it still boils my piss that some dickheads see this as entertainment.

On the plus side, one of the neighbours heard it, and went out with her frankly massive bodybuilder son, who managed to get a grip of a couple of them and hand them over to the Rozzers. In true form, they sang like canaries, so now it looks like someone will be getting hauled in. We also managed to fond out who the little shit is. GR8 4 VIJILLANTEH ATAX.

By the way, anyone got an electric drivers door mirror for a late 306? Doesn't matter what colour, cos I can get the back off this one. TA.

Right, this AS Facebook group is a load of crap, it's just a load of OSF mongs arguing with crap snaps of a knackered Rover taken on a King Edward.

Shite has lost all meaning.

AS Facebook group

Don't even know what that is, and I feel fine about it.

Facebook is good for nothing other than looking at MALIA 2012 photos posted by some girl you went to school with or your younger sisters mate, I dunno why people try and take it further and actually hope to communicate with like minded people etc, you're bound to be disappointed.

just sack it off, problem solved

What, Facebook? Good idea!

it's been ruined by too many idiots who like Corsas joining the group, and amazo

To be fair the only thing wrong with Facebook is the idiots using it.

The problem with [insert thing/place here] is the people in it. France, Facebook, British Leyland, Lidl... it applies to all these and more.

You couldn't be more right, VA!

Of course Autoshite itself is an honourable exception. I met two more Shiters today who reinforced my point.

:oops:8)

Hope the old girl behaved herself on the way home, and that Roger wasn't too traumatised by the experience?!

Where's the bloody thread, Ed? :D

I left the autoshite FB group a long time ago as it was filling up with morons.

Tempted to leave FB altogether since the latest improvements, but it is handy to keep in touch with people back home. Might try google+ as that looks to be the next stupid craze.

Today's grump is arriving back in the uk after 1700 miles all over france to witness what is supposed to be described as driving. First up on the way out of london to the M3 some idiot on a scooter overtaking on the hard shoulder then got the hump with me as I returned to the n/s lane after overtaking the same car on the correct side. Should of taken the twat out really I am sure with a couple of tons of discovery and trailer I wouldn't of noticed. Then on the A 303 some muppet A framing a ford maverick type thing with a mk4 astra. He was having trouble keeping it in a straight line at less than 30mph. If that isn't a good enough reason to ban A framing I don't know what is. I know a lot of people on here advocate A framing but in my opinion it really isn't safe unless you have got a decent siezed tow car that can at least get close to being able to cope with the weight, buy a 4x4 and a decent trailer yes it's expensive but mine will sit perfectly at 60 all day long with a couple of ton on the back

Posted

Yeah he should have had that Maverick on a trailer, that would have been much safer than the A-frame!

Posted

Agreed. Added weight would only have aggravated totally inappropriate towing. Unless the A frame ' had a problem' the driver was the issue here.

Posted

Quite. He should have had a tug for being an idiot, regardless of how he was towing it.

Came into work this morning and found out an hour later that the project leader on the project I've been involved with for 2 years, and who gave me lots of opportunity and guidance had a heart attack over the weekend and fell off his perch.

Feeling pretty crap now, although take comfort that he was probably very very drunk on hideously expensive alcohol and smoking a very nice cigar, just as he would have wanted
