Should - there's the problem!  That's the same conclusion I came to, and that's what I did originally - or at least what I'd set it to do.  Result?  Nothing whatsoever worked and I had to factory reset the damned thing to get back on WiFi at all.

I don't know how it is over there, but ISP provided IT gear over here just seems to be almost universally trash, and more and more is getting locked down to make using your own kit more difficult with each passing year.  It's just annoying when it feels like we're at the point in the technological world where we should be able to make stuff like this "just work."

At least with this new one aside from not being able to pair the repeater it's behaving more predictably - the old one had all sorts of odd and hard to reproduce issues with both how it handled wired and wireless - I'm pretty certain that it was largely down to the inbuilt DHCP server being buggy as all hell though.  For instance I can actually access my printer from my desktop PC for the first time in about five years, so I'm calling that a win at least!

I have made a cockup. Flight going out on Sunday afternoon. Online checkin, they say... problem is because I left it this late there are only extra legroom seats available - in this case Jet2 don't let you check in online - I either pay for the seat or I have to wait and check in at the airport.

Might turn into a grin if I don't get hassle at the airport and get the seat for free, we'll see...

That’s not your fault, surely? They offer those seats at extra cost, obviously nobody else has bought them so they’re yours for free! They can’t force you to pay extra if you didn’t ask for them!

Exactly my argument, I think it's a shit limitation in their system. Completely understand not assigning it for free if others are available, but to actually prevent me from checking in prior to the airport because those are the only ones available? Pretty crap going.

At least there was some relief in that their on-hold music isn't just Hold My sodding Hand on repeat.

Guess that's another 20' + of fence needs replaced, again 🙄

Noone hurt, and occupants didn't do a runner, so should get an insurance payout, eventually...

I use a screwdriver at work, but have a nice wooden one at home my sister brought back from New Zealand made up of several different woods.

I finished my gates and did some weeding. I then remembered that I had the oil and filter for the mondeo but not had chance to do the job.

I still had the pela out from lad's astra. After two and a half hours it had pulled out about two litres. To be fair it took hours to suck three and a half litres out of the astra.

There's a reason I hardly ever use the pela. Because it's pants.

They're not pants,  the thin lance is obviously not going to work on cold, thick oil. You'll be there for 8 hours. Always run the engine for 5 minutes. It does the extractor no harm whatsoever.  I've had mine since 2018 and carried out many oil changes this way.

The astra was warm when I did the oil. It still took an eternity. Modern oils are thin and flow well even when cold otherwise there wouldn't be much protection.

Some swear by them. Others - like me have had mixed results. The fittings are all ok - there is plenty of suction.

I find it doesn't work on about half the cars I own/have owned because there's a baffle or something stopping the lance getting to the bottom of the sump.

My Middle of Lidl special oil pump has worked pretty well the times I've used it.  I always get the oil warm first, unless it's hot enough to affect the structural integrity of the plastic in the pump it's unlikely to cause issues.
