The pic made me grumpy too

Glad you're alright and good to hear it should straighten out ok. I was never sure about the holes in the front panel anyway :)

Ex pressed Panels in Keighley should have all the body panels for the old scrote in stock. They might need a bit of fettling to fit, being patterns parts, and they aren't cheap. By the way you have that person by the balls as they've admitted liability. they broke the golden rule in bumps. NEVER admit to owt. If it's in a police compound, it may take a bit of wrestling to get it back, because the insurers may want to do a 'total loss' claim, and whilever it is in the compound, it makes it easier for them to take ownership whilst paying out.

I'm glad to read that you're ok and that the car can be saved. The rest of it will be sorted sooner or later. Following on from Felly's point, make sure you give written instructions to the police that they are not to release the car to the insurers or their agents.

Not sure about that. Doesn't a 50-50 claim impact your future premia in the same way as a proper fault one? If so, I'd rather admit liability for something that has been clearly or mostly my fault than have the insurance cartel rape another motorist in addition to myself.

Youur insurers will always, and I mean always tell you never to accept liability at the scene of an accident. When I worked on the buses, the union and management drum this into you too.

Whilst looking through my Youtube history I can't believe how many blanks there are where Autofives uploads were. :(

That's their problem. Good luck with suing me for disobeying it.

Had a rather brilliant night on the razzle, caught up with some old mates and got totally pisses. All fine until my daughter rang me to say the Internet doesn't work. Came home and my compute AND the Internet at home are bollocksed. Typing this on the mobile still hammered and knowing that tomorrow morning I'll be in a right mark :(

FUCKING HELL Dave.

Main thing is that you're OK. A massive brucie bonus that the car is, too. Didn't see the update on Facebook, I just saw some pictures of it next to an old building with graffiti on it.

The office bike 460 Turbo is available if you get mega stuck for transport. The only problem is that SCTSH_ANDY is using at the moment due to 9000 clutch FAIL.

Shit, Dave.

Gald you're OK, but hardly conducive to a happy Christmas....

Makes my lesser grump of being stuck in a desolate showroom with Heart FbloodyM stuck on seem pointless. Heart seem to have one Christmas Compilation CD on an endless loop, only occasionally being interrupted for Maroon 5 or something equally execrable. The tuner is locked away in the parts department, all we can do is try to drown it out with the telly. The cacophany is unbearable.

But, like, that's a crap grump compared to yours.

They only seem to have about 3 adverts..Could be worse, could be Town 102........That Hadleigh Tyres ad grinds my gears. The same company a few years back did one for a glazing firm called Coldseal, using exactly the same music and voice...Argh!

Trailed to the local Staples for some brown packing tape today, bought a couple of rolls last week that were sticky for a change so went and bought the 6 they had left.

Will be taking it back tomorrow as it's absolutely shite. Not the same as the others I bought for some reason. It's on a par with the car boot duct tape that's not sticky either.

Wouldn't mind but it was best part of 90p a roll.

Have some Ebay stuff pack and get sent off before the last carrier dates for Christmas.

I'd like one of these but they are a tad pricey...

Wasn't it CortinaDave who lost his radio gig when Heart took over the station he worked at?

You have my sympathy Roadwork, dross like that can send you potty once you have started to notice it.

Can't you just tell the boss that they are running adverts for a rival dealership, and that you are replaying it in your showroom. I tried that one once and it worked, for a bit......

1245 - "Hi Andy, railways are on the phone, can you swap your 70 seater for one of the Van Hools and go light to Carlisle Station?"

1500 - arrive Carlisle Station, buses everywhere, the line that was off (Carlisle to PRESTON - bear in mind I've brought a coach from Glasgow...) has returned to normal operation. Put on standby.

1915 - still here, in the coach park, freezing my bollocks off. Gonna be here til close of play tonight and I've left my sleeping bag in my own bus back at the yard.

fml, etc...

My printer has packed up. It's one of those Epson all-in-one printer/scanner jobbies that I paid about £40 for, so going on what was being said the other day about cheap printers it's probably to be expected, but it's still irritating as it's only 6 months old and hasn't really been used that much. It's making all the right noises but isn't pulling the paper through. I'm on a Ryanair flight over to my parents' for Christmas first thing Tuesday morning, so I've got to remember to print my boarding passes out at work tomorrow or I'll be dry bummed for a £40 "printing fee" by Mr. O'Leary's evil minions.

Something I do days before I go abroad is print all the necessary documents a few days before as printers like to pack up at the last moment, if it works, great if not I can pop to the local library and print the docs for about 20p a sheet or something thereabouts.

Hello. If anyone wants me in the next week or so don't bother trying to get hold of me via Facebook. I've binned it for the time being (at least I think I've binned it) because I can't be arsed.

Things are very bad at the moment and I can't be bothered reading an endless stream of how well people have done on modules this year \ how great they are \ how busy they are \ etc etc. The past few months have been a load of steaming shit and I've just got some very bad news that really is the cherry on a cake made of excrement. I was supposed to go and meet the Scouse Team Of Excellence last night up in Birkenhead, but after what I got told (followed almost straight away by another, unrelated denoument) I really didn't fancy driving. I had to wait until today to see if the news was as bad as it suggested, and it is.

I don't know if I've actually deleted my FB account - they try their damndest to stop you from killing it. I had multiple tabs open when it said it was on the delete track. If someone could check for me that would be excellent.

As I say, get me on the phone, via PM here and so and on and so on, just not Facebook. I'll probably go back to it, just not right now.

I don't do FaecesAche and all that sort of jazz but whatever your bad news is Jon I hope it's something that can be overcome.

I hope everything is ok Jon, I've just checked for you and it looks like you have deleted it successfully.

Wat, you've disappeared from my friends list and a search can't find you either.

It won't actually get deleted until early January, and I can get it going again if I log in. I'll see how it goes. It's actually the easiest way to talk to people on my course, I just can't be fucked with their endless wittering at the moment. They're leaving me for dead marks wise and I can't figure out why.

This for example. This is apparently a steaming pile of shit barely worth a 2:2. To get this straight after what I got told yesterday was not very pleasant.

I'm going to complain about the mark I got.

Things can turn round quickly, I met up with my uni mates last week. One on my best mates at the time in the first year finished well below me and had to do some retakes. He now has a PhD and is working at UCL and I, well I almost killed myself with cynaide at the end of year 2(Chemistry degree) then dropped out. But he doesn't own 2 Austin Ambassadors so I win :D

The spackers at www.mytyres.co.uk are now on my shit list. Ordered 4 snow tyres on rims for the idiot sister.

First piss take is £10 per wheel delivery + 1 week wait 'cos it turns out they're coming from Germany.

Arrived today, but... directional tyres and I've got 3 nearside, 1 offside. Phoned their don't help line, got India who tells me it's a "manufacturing fault" and I must report it by email only. Prolly going to end up being out of pocket paying the local tyre place to swap one round.

I've ripped the arse right out it with the booze and have now a mild fracture of my drinking bone. It's not even Christmas yet!

I feel like shite so I'm going to go home and go to bed with a bag of frozen sprouts on my head.

Bit late on this on but sorry to see mk1_4dr's Escort a couple of pages ago. Glad your ok - hope it fixable.

The ice last night appears to have got into the offside headlight of the Innocenti and separated the glass from the reflector - said glass promptly fell on the floor and smashed. I'm currently attempting to stick it back together (have given up on the shitty liquid "superglue" I bought from Tesco and am using a tube of Loctite all purpose adhesive which is doing a much better job), but what are the chances of it passing an MoT with a patched-up headlight lense? I have a feeling tracking down a replacement headlight would be a royal PITA.

Posted

Is there nowt else that will fit....I'm thinking Fiat obviously, and you've probably already thought of that.....

Just had a search on t'bay for "Autobianchi headlight" and came up with 2 chrome rings from septic-land....
