Are the GTI rads not the same as the standard 3S-FE 2-litre jobs, greengartside? I'd be surprised if they are different - I scored a new one for £40 delivered for my next door neighbour last year from eBay, and it was apparently a piece of cake to fit.

I suspect BISTO ARS will be ressurected quite swiftly, some shadowy old money will doubtless appear.

if it's not leaking and not over heating why worry??

The fan is almost constantly on and there's not a lot of hot air coming through the vents, plus the coolant level was low...

I did see this on t'ebay and wondered if this would do the job?

Says for a 2.0 CDX - should be near enough the same engine?

so what rad are you looking for?

i know someone with a few scrappers

I was just looking on Euro Car Parts - the GTI-specific one is slightly wider (685mm plays 660mm) and ever so slightly deeper (17mm vs 16mm). Not sure whether it makes that much difference TBH (sure you could do something with the mounts), having said that if you can confirm a 3S-GE Celica one will fit there's a few s/hand ones on eBay for less than £20 that might be worth a punt.

Rad for a Carina E 2.0 GTi, 1993-94. If you can get hold of one then I'll happily pay you!

Euro Car Parts will hit you for £86 if you get stuck through other routes...

Some BOTS have got into my hotmail account and sent 100kg of spam to everyone in there including grandparents, former colleagues, employment agencies and lord knows who else!!! FUGGIN SPAMMERS!

Now I am going to have to write to everyone to tell them 'BUMP FOR A REAL MESSAGE'

Give us bots a bad name that does

Oh aye, was it one of your bezzy mates?

Posted

Tell you what, it's always the same with these bots, every time an account gets nicked they're all "don't blame it on the bots, it's not always bots, why are bots always having the finger pointed at them" and then when it turns up on the spam circuit with some random numbers added to the username, they all go quiet and mumble something about there being a bad element involved and it's like anything else and there's nothing can be done about it etc etc.

Carina radiator - a brand new one of slightly smaller capacity will offer vastly more cooling than the one that's on there, so don't worry about it.

^+1!

But ok, let him stay. House him in Blackburn. He'll be begging for a flight home within a week. If he lives that long.

Posted

The annoying thing is that its his "right to a family life" thats keeping him here, seeing as he has kids, but from what I've read he has no contact with them anyway!

Posted

Never mind the human rights of his victim and her poor family. You wonder how the people who defended him sleep at night

Posted

Exactly, but how come EVERY single other person in this country thinks he should be deported other than the 3 people that get paid to decide if he stays or goes?

Posted

The debate shouldn't be about him being extradited, it should be discussing the manner of his execution.

There, I've said it.

Posted

And they wonder why the BNP and EDL is growing. If it were up to me anyone convicted of a serious crime would be deported the moment their sentence is served

Perhaps a little harsh (only a little), but the thing in that story that pissed me off almost as much as the deportation stupidity is the fact that, for driving while disqualified, with no insurance, knocking down and killing a young girl and then fleeing the scene, he only got four fugging months in prison.

There's no common sense at all, thanks to red tape and careerist politicians/councillors/justice bellends all giving each other reach arounds in a big gay daisy chain, etc. at the Masonic lodge. You can obtain more victimisation from the authorities for a less serious driving conviction than the punishment he got. I think the human rights lawyers must've played a huge part in that case.

Bendy down letterboxes. Anyone who's helped their kids do their paper round may understand the pain I've been through today.

It is ridiculous. I agree with you Wuv. How about the sentence fitting the crime please? The twat who knocked down and killed my gran back in about 1991 was speeding and not paying attention AND wasn't insured. He got a fine. Seems ridiculous that you can get locked up for a bit of fraud or theft but kill a person? Nah, just a slap on the wrist.

Posted

Yeah, what's the deal/point of letterboxes on the floor?

Also, letterboxes that have 'draught protectors' that make pushing anything through impossible. When I did pizza delivery, I found people who didn't have house numbers annoying. And even worse, no door bell and the only thing was a letterbox which was muted by rubber type draught seals, so when you knocked instead of going 'KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK', it just went 'fuff fuff fuff'.

try poaching salmon or deer

then compare your sentence with mugging or glassing someone

Cunting twatting shitty fucking bollocks tosser PC decided to have one of its may fucking crashing/BSOD moments when I was on Sky poker with full house aces over kings costing me £37. I fucking despise the twatting thing more than any car I have ever owned, even the ones I sent to the fire brigade to die a nasty death.

Does anyone local to Merseyside have a Pc they want to sell that is in the slightest bit reliable?

Does anyone know how to cure BSOD stop 000124 code on an Asus(ANUS) motherboard?

My "contact" at Canning Place says you can have anything up to a Detective Inspector quite easily, just depends how much you want to pay...

Don't install ubuntu 11.04. It isn't out yet but you can install an alpha release to play with. I'm typing this on my phone. Serves me right for being impatient.
