Unlike later Harper models, this one doesn't seem to have been designed for disabled drivers specifically?

Is that where Clive Sinclair got his design for the C5?

I bloody love these!

That must be a rare beast outside of the US, Packard's notorious last stand.  Never quite understand why they decided to put armrests on the door outside the car.

Intergalactic mileage Volvo 850 R estate for auction. I used to see this parked outside a row of shops in Norwich City Centre. Always wondered what had happened to it.

Looks like it was registered new in the UK and it's right hand drive.

I didn't know we got the 2 door version here.

Yup, 142.

It's on a Suffolk plate, maybe something brought in for assessment by the importers who were based in Ipswich back then?

It is in effect a Studebaker with a different badge and trimmings - nothing 'Packard' left by that point.

They are very quick with the supercharger.

The trim frills are all about dressing the car up to chase diminishing sales. Very few found buyers.

Worth the money as so rare - but pretty lethal on the road. 275bhp and 125 mph on fairly rudimentary brakes.
