The most wtf is “24kWh battery giving 120 miles of range” - even at the speed of a hearse that is impossible.

More Amerikana - who don't love a car with four exhausts?  Not expensive atm.

Quad exhaust on the least performance oriented Seville model in the line-up and poor alignment doesn't bode well.

A similar bike is a local landmark in this town since 1998: streetview

Styled by Philippe Starck - genius French industrial architect and designer.

Best known for this lemon squeezer amongst many many things.

Buy it. It's a design masterpiece.

It is utterly beautiful and at that price I find it sorely tempting. But I need to educate myself first: there were problems with them from new (as alluded to in that Top Gear video) and I don't think I should just assume that the ones that are still around will have been somehow fixed. I might embark on a Javelin factfinding project, I think...

Yes there was a problem with the engines breaking cranks which contributed to Jowett being ended. There was a lot of warranty claims but the engine was uprated so I'd guess most survivors have had remedial work at some point. There is a very active owners club best enquire with them.

There were gearbox problems too - but again I think that was addressed. Amazing cars.

Designer Gerald Palmer worked for Vauxhall much later on. I think on the PB Victor type seen above.

Now a supermarket on the Jowett factory site - was used by International Harvester in the interim.

All very sad.
