Last MOT expired 11 years  ago, but it has the correct engine and is only £150, no reserve.

They’re not “L” wheels and the bumpers look too fancy too.

The bumpers are correct for L, only base had plain bumpers at that time.

Wheels aren't standard for L but were a factory fitted option so could be original.

If you booked a ride in that, it'd turn up 3 weeks late with no wheels  and the wrong doors.

I think they're MG Maestro 1600 alloys.

I couldn't zoom in to read the tyres, but I believe there's 13" and 14" cheese grater alloys in existence. The former were cost option on cooking Maestro - I don't recall them being available for Montego.

1600 MG Maestro had either 13 or 14" cheese grater (not sure which) then EFi got 14" steels standard and 14" cheese graters cost option.

The black plastic centre covers definitely aren't factory. I do know a company was making 3D printed replacements (because I bought some) but they are unpainted. I wonder if he's bought those and sprayed black... It looks a bit shit IMO but the rest of the car is pure sex, obviously.

@Noel Tidybeard has this sort of information in his head, like some sort of BLARG necromancer.

Are you sure?

Interesting...

It's a 2001 Y-reg with an early 2.5 V6 engine with an early CDX interior, but listed as a DTi design edition on the official (a sort of mid-range spec) someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make a Vectra their own. The interior is lovely, I'd love to have beige leather in mine.

The wheels are just plain wrong on that model - rather jarring tbh.

Arrhh, the good old days when you could ride a 250 with just L plates without any of this modern nonsense (coffin tank wetdream was the first bike I rode legally* on the road).

loved my wet dream ! not fast, but really well put together - bought mine brand new from Ryes of Southampton - got the train from Bristol and brought it back on the train - did about 9k on it, passed my bike test, sold to a mate who got T boned by a car riding it

@Noel Tidybeard

Iirc they were 14" wheels on my parents' early MG 1600. Optional extra on the Vanden Plas.

Always thought these were proper old duffers bikes and to be well swerved, but as an old duffer now I think they have a certain appeal.

What is it with Boston? My w124 came from there . Do OAPS go there to retire, buy a car and not use it?
