This is winking at me, but really my head says I should  stick with my 55K miles 1.4D polo that owes me nothing for now.

I had one of these for a while. Not sure if qualifies  as a kei car but definitely ElectroShite:

(I don’t know why it’s upside down either)

Noice. Will these ever stop being ludicrously overpriced for their age? Nice solid old barges though!

You and me both @UltraWomble. Got a definite Kei itch that needs scratching. I'd love one of the 90s berserk turbo nutter things but I think I've missed the moment.

It's funny I never felt the love for them back in the day though find them boner inducing.

I read it as AVY 437R, which comes back as a Land Rover 109, which wouldn,t have been on coil springs……………

Yes that may be correct. I wonder if Doovla would consider that still to be a 1977 Land Rover? I think not. Probably very little there from 1977.

The plates are non-compliant anyway.

My reaction was more; fucking hell, it's only a car. The seller wrote a novel (about 90% of which I didn't read).

£750 seems pretty reasonable, and it'd probably go a lot quicker if you took the ERF exhaust off it.

Badermatic Standrive for extra win !

Probably why it's survived. Standrive was pretty challenging technically and many did few miles,  just gave up and put the car away. Probably easy-ish to go back to manual - though fun to get the Standrive working.

The Companions were not wildly successful in period but they look really nice today.

It will probably take a Herald engine etc.

Really really nice. A great buy and nice to be the only one at shows but with pretty common mechanicals.

These 8' and 10's have been much forgotten.

How does the Standrive work ?
is it like an automatic clutch?

VW and Porsche used a similar system also for the Beetle and 911.
