Yes that may be correct. I wonder if Doovla would consider that still to be a 1977 Land Rover? I think not. Probably very little there from 1977.

It will probably take a Herald engine etc.

Really really nice. A great buy and nice to be the only one at shows but with pretty common mechanicals.

Information on the Standrive two pedal gearbox fitted to the Standard 10.

Much later NSU used a similar system on the RO80.

Rootes used a Smiths Industries system which was more like an auto-box called 'Easidrive' using magnets...
