That’s literally the most overpriced and blatantly rung vehicle I’ve seen in a while. The High-Cap came to market in 1980/1 along with the Stage 1 V8, and any “pre-production” examples would have been built in ‘78 or ‘79. That one bears all the signs of being a bog standard early 80s series 3; dual circuit servo brakes, fog light, low rear indicators, emissions shit on the engine. The only thing that is early 70s is the razor edge bonnet off an 88” and the registration plate. I’m not saying it’s not a worthy project, and agree that it’s a rare thing, but £10K is what it would be worth with the right registration, an MoT and no questions about its identity. As that stands I’d be wary about spending any more than a couple of grand on it.

I'd put money on the K plate chassis number coming back as either a IIA, an 88” or a Station Wagon.
