Issues:
Exhaust (middle section, pictured)
Kept it in the garage and comes with the car. Header and silencer still on car
Dipstick
Top plastic for the dipstick broken off, may want to replace.
Left hand mirror cracked
Can still see out of it and passed its last MOT with it.
Driver's seat pan (pictured)
Hole in fabric in the seat pan.

Put back or replace exhaust, buy used dipstick & mirror, ignore hole in seat? None of this issues seem difficult or expensive to sort.

That is weird but I kinda like it.

Imagine the turning circle though!

Jack it up, attach a jump lead to the alternator or starter B+ :)

Or just bloody well bump start it.

A more suspicious person might think they cut the bonnet release cable to hide that fact that the cylinder head is missing or some nonsense.

Except the engine isn't under the bonnet, it's a TF 😆

Is the battery not in the engine bay then? I know some mid-engine cars have remote batteries of course, never expected such sophistication from a Rover Group product  😛

The auction of the entire Palmen collection is online now! Some very desirable lots. Not being a multimillionaire sucks...

What a fascinating collection. I don't think I've ever seen so many Facels offered in one sale. Something for everyone there.

Thanks for posting.

Fascinating to see the mythical Monica pop up again. Well remember reading and re-reading the Motor Sport article on the Monica project. Deserves a Jay Leno budget to return it to the road.

The mini from 1959, had the battery in the boot.

The MGB had 2 * 6 volt batteries, under the rear "seat" either side of the props shaft.

And the Austin Mini Countryman, Morris Mini Traveller and Mini Clubman estates had the battery under the rear seat. whilst in vans and pickups it was behind the drivers seat.
