I still think the Rover 600 is a great looking car. It's got simple classic car shaped lines. The E39 5 series is the same.

On the subject of aging Rovers, here is a 200Vi.  These are a fantastic little sleeper when they're working properly - I used to love winding up modern VAG drivers in mine.  This one isn't cheap mind.

Nice old derv bus, with MOT until October, that just failed to sell at £500. 

Does sound a bit fucked from the ad but I once fixed a diesel leak in one of these with mole grips and a leatherman at the side of a Swedish road so how bad can it be?

Interesting information, but none of those are Rover Group designed cars, predating the creation of that last desperate hurrah by decades.

Ah, but the same twats from 1959 were probably training the design apprentices at Longbridge in the 80s who got to be senior engineers in the mid 80s

MG RV8s have their batteries behind the driver's seat, with the engine in the front, and were designed and built by Rover Group.

Although that's probably cheating just a tad as it's a heavily reworked MGB rather than a clean-sheet design. :D

Later MG Bs had a single 12 volt in one carrier and could be a bit of a sod to remove.

The level of "want" I have for this is, regrettably, inversely proportional to the levels of space and money I have. Damn.

What a beauty, that's almost late registration madness isn't it? Must be the last of the run if nothing else. I don't remember many 600's on a V plate
