'his was at a farm that I was delivering diesel to. It has been in a shed for the past 30 odd years maybe more. It's only done 19 thousand miles from new. It is for sale if anyone is interested.'

Other details are sketchy, someone called Ian Bennet (profile picture Daffy Duck) is selling it for someone on Facebook. I'm guessing possibly Mid Wales (reg is from Radnorshire as was) and potentially the fella mentioning it is from Llandrindod.

Looks proper crispy but it'd be ace if someone got it back on the road.

Holy shit. Saw the pound signs flash right in front of my eyes when I saw the attached plate. And a Rover 800 at that money!!

That's what I was thinking, and maybe the full V5 is for when it that plate and consequently now invalid 🤔

It's over at CR Allens by the look of it, I used to know a couple of lads that worked there but no idea if they're still about. I'm assuming it's a customer car or something. There used to be a bloke in Newhaven with a pair of 240's, I swear one was identical to this. I think I should go have a look if it's still there Monday.

I'd have considered it myself if I had the space to keep it, but even if I did I'm not going to have any time to do it up. My "moderns" have jobs queueing up as it is! It's a shame because I imagine there's probably not really much up with it, just normal 30+ year old car problems

Me thinks an MoT tester put down the wrong model on a test.

Checking the actual car details shows it has a 2497cc engine and the last log book issued in April 2022. It would need a current MoT to get the plate of it as it has been off the road for over 5 years.
