A manual ML ?
that’s got to be rarer than a rare thing in rareville

I heard a rumour Merc had to de-tune the engine so the manual box could cope

A friend has one, synchro gone on on 2nd at 80k, not nice to drive either.  The foot operated park brake makes hill starts a challenge, it's also seems to be ultra basic spec. He's tall and seat has no height adjustment etc.

Twelve photos showing the body is rogered, yet not even one of the best bit - that red interior. Missed opportunity!

Interesting to see mk1 prices seem to be creeping up too. It doesn't seem long ago that no-one wanted the saloons.

They're really good cars. They're kind of always been in the shadow of the Cortina but they're probably a better car.

That one is quite interesting as it looks mechanically good and is solid underneath rough as anything outside. it also looks like the springs have been chopped, which is a bit of shame.

1988 Isuzu Gemini - €800

Haven't seen one of these in at least 15 years, but they were once common, usually as a 1.5 (Opel) diesel. Think they were a Pino Harris import so not sure if UK got them

That’s been for sale ages, and unfortunately it’s utterly rotten. Otherwise I’d have had it when I first saw it about two years ago.

There is a 89 bread and butter 1.3 petrol Gemini in regular use around Dublin.

Also in Autosite sales thread.

I must say I do find myself tempted, I have been after one of these for a while

Just worried that with outside storage being my only option it won't last long which will be a shame :(

I wasn't sure whether to post this in here or the "just bin it" thread.

Thing is, I've a feeling that these are the nicer photos too!

That's a really weird one. All the places where Moggies rot on top look really good. I'm guessing it was restored shortly before the smack. Proper repairs too I'd imagine or the filler would have popped out by now.

Those seats look distinctive.  Anyone any idea what they came out of?

I quite like his honesty. As someone being pissed around "Do you want my project Ford Focus in part ex" or "I don't have that much money, will you accept less and I'll pay you monthly", I completed understand.

Not everyone can live with LHD.

Never understood this. The only situation where LHD is in any way different from RHD is getting a ticket at a multistorey carpark or going through a drive-in - both of which can be happily avoided. There are plenty of situatons where an LHD car is actually much better - merging from a slip road, for instance.

I sort of think that, like people who can only drive automatics, if you can't drive an LHD car then you probably shouldn't have a licence to begin with.

Agreed. I drive an LHD car 4 or 5 times a week and I've never found any kind of problem with the configuration. I find it really odd that it bothers people.

I have a friend who's a car enthusiast and on a trip to Germany years ago, he refused to drive the rented car because it was LHD. Perplexing - it's not difficult. The majority of the world's motorists manage to drive LHD cars exclusively.
