Will always. be known as a “ Full English”  to a select few old mates of mine.  There was a bloke, Simon, used to drink in the same pub as us who told us of his pre job ritual early Friday morning He would go out and nick a 2.3 Cortina , go to the cafe and have a full English before going to work. His work usually involved wages snatches and the breakfast was because it might be the last decent meal he’d be having for some time. There weren’t many 2.3 Cortinas around when he told us this tale, but I think wages being paid in cash probably stopped by then too.

At that price, I'd expect to see camera footage, inside all chassis box sections, and of the cylinder bores.  I'd expect the minor imperfections, mentioned in the advert, sorted by a true professional.  

And I'd expect a 10 year no quibble warranty.

I always thought those would be rather underpowered with the 1.5 - they're not a light car.  I definitely wouldn't kick an RMB out of bed though.

There was a  lady local that had one of those (although it was a 2.5 litre one) from new and was still driving it daily up to about 5 years ago, still having it serviced at the garage that sold it to her new though they had changed dealership several times in the intervening 60 odd years! She didn't hang around in it either and I desperately wanted to buy it. Sadly she snuffed it and the inheritors of said car scrapped it as it was 'old and worn out!'

Some comprehensive pictures.  That's how to show the details.  That 65k Capri needs similar attention to details.
