this must be the SOLE survivor from the olden days, a none "i" mark 2 Cav SR.

when an SR or SRi actually was something worth having.

god konws what the fuckin' reserve is in it.

Thoroughly deserves to make a good price that.

*Edit: my dad's SR (hatchback) only seems to have lasted until 1993.

Agree, it does look like an ‘investment grade’ car.

So why the hell hasn’t the seller bothered to MOT it?

Some people. I’d have a rant about idiots on eBay but Junkman does it much better.

Not sure if asking price is salty, or sensible, for this Silvia. It does look very nice, either way.

Pretty salty imo. Who's going to buy it? Not at all quick by modern standards and it predates the 1990s jap-turbo-nutter craze so they don't have any kind of following. I had one a few years ago. It was alright but generally felt quite crude - weird to think they were building this alongside the R32 Skyline GTR...

Yeah best keep on looking for that unwelded 35-yr old Mazda eh!

Does such a thing exist?

and i my yoof i remember hepling older friends chop several of these up so it was easier to weigh it in.

not that there was much to weigh in cos they were really, REALLY rotten.

and the best bits of the interiors where stripped out and got put into a mark 4 XR3i (along with them RS 7 spoke wheels)and a 1300l.

such actions today would end up with me on the wrong end of a fatwa from the OSF fan boi's.

ah happy days.....

Overpriced old toot. How much of that £10k is scene tax?

Posted

This was bid up to £920 (reserve not met), and I've just been 'offered' it for £1200. That's probably not unfair, but I shall no doubt politely decline.

Offer a bag!

Ever tried sitting on the back of a very wet Newfoundland dog shaking itself as you try and take pictures of your Ford Capri?

Begging for people to read the advert fully, but typing like an unpunctuated machine gun.

This advert appears at the top of my 'classic cars' search so it's close by. Those blurry photos annoy me. I think it's had a price drop to £3.5k now...I can't help but think it might be achievable if only the seller uploaded some new photos!

on that old turd its subject to both the RS and OSF scene tax.

that car is worth, what, a few hundred quid. say £1000 tops.

so, that means £9k, at least, of scene tax.

Pink Dodge is ace amongst a splendid** selection.

**Except for that Audi A8. I bet that was made in England.

Those Spanish hearses are just the best. ‘Like’ isn’t enough - I clicked ‘Thanks’, too.

Audi 80 on trims in OAP blue metallic when it’s my turn please. Or maybe the Seat Malaga the colour of misery with the fallen leaf graphic. Or the Renault 25... very tough choice.

I hope they strap the coffin down tight in the A8 hearse, it would be a shame if grandmother shot through the back window into the mourners' limousine. Still it would be good for urgent funerals.

If that's the case, kill me now.

Would Sir prefer the Audi hearse on trims or the Seat Malaga for the funeral conveyance?

He said NEED not own.

Last time I spoke to my cousin was in 2005 and she owned one of those. Probably still got it. Don't know don't care to know. That isn't the reason I haven't spoken to her since then

Just put the rear seats down in the belingo and put my cardboard coffin in the back sticking out a bit.

Drive me to the beach at low tide and set fire to the car with my coffin in it.

It's a car, it's a van, it has a weird roof. You can all buggar off and leave me alone with my Berlingo fetish.
