That Laguna must have been one of the first ones into the country, rare to see them on an X plate.

I know these things are a bit 'twee' for some folks but I quite like them, and they are pretty useful.

'Rover 600-a-like' Accord with fresh cambelt and year's ticket for £500. One of my neighbours had a P reg one of these for years and it just kept going on and on and on....

The 51 plate Merc he replaced it with lasted two years before it rusted to buggery.

I like the look of that Cav SRi but not enough to get divorced over it. Someone on here (also not me) should finish saving that Renault 12 too.

Ogling the Renault threw up this little sweetie:

Year's MOT, lots of tax, full history etc - £700. All you need is legwarmers and an Alice band to complete the 1987 look.

A few highlights from C&C:

Nice looking CX with no MOT ... but will MOT on request ????

Why not just do it, surely it'd be easier to sell with current MOT.

After my recent dabble in Maestro ownership I can safely say .... "Would"

This is a bit of an unusual beast being a 3-litre manual. If memory serves, manual cars got a more powerful engine than the autos, so would imagine this could be a bit of a sleeper.

Not sure why, but I really like this, especially the colour

Only thing to change is those godawful wheel trims. Although the cynic in me asks what problems might be lurking underneath - after all, why would you spend all that money getting the clutch changed and then sell it for a fraction of the cost?

Posted

Because you are clueless! That looks like a great buy to me, get the 16" wheels on it like what mine's got, they look great. I'm still busting into a grin when i clock mine across the car park!!! Currently averaging 31.7mpg.

You're not wrong, I used to think these were hideous things but as time's passed and with the right wheels plus a colour-coded grill they're actually not bad, although the base models with tiny wheels still look a bit naff. At that money, someone's going to get a superb family hack.

...Whoever built this must be a RIGHT LAUGH*

His prose* makes me want to save the car because it really deserves better, but I couldn't begin to consider thinking about giving any amount of money to that berk.

It also bothered Harold that these were young beer swilling men who had something to prove

And they did indeed prove that they were TWATS.

There's been a fair bit of chat on here about mx-5's of late. This one looks alright for £750.

These Mondeo coupes look much better in black than the Silver you usually find them. It's probably because you can't see the rust. Yours for £395.

OMGHGF Facelift Rover 75 for £400. Almost tempting. I'm guessing the Connoisseur probably has leather an all that?

In very good condition for its age.

That's questionable...

To be fair, I'd probably agree with the seller. Most D-reg Actys look more like this:

That Cougar looks cheap. Despite them being easier on the eye than a Probe (and let's face it, a cock wart is easier on the japs eye than a Probe) I still wouldn't though.

I want to own a nice v6 cougar before they all dissappear. I didn't think they rusted? Certainly not as much as a puma.
