This gets a 'what was the point?' from me. It's a Marbella fitted with a few 'sporty' bits and bobs and a bigger (FIAT) engine. I don't think there was an Abarth Panda based on wither the Mark 1 or Mark 2 body shape. To each their own I suppose.

I get it, it's not 'authentic' by any stretch but if I had a Panda I don't think I could resist putting go-faster bits on it. So this is the ultimate realisation of that pipe dream.

It looks quite nicely done and not rusty but even so, £6k is ambitious.

You have to admit it would be funny to drive a 'fast' Panda...

I wonder what the legalities of running this on red diesel (or veg) are? And whether that would be a good* shortcut to avoid Putin price electricity?

No problem at all. Its what red is designed for (plant and machinery). Although putting it on a trailer and powering a Tossla might be pushing things a bit . :D

Was only talking to @Burnside and @puntopaul the other day about these. £800 is a bit rich in that state but what a thing!

At £800 definitely one for the brave, a lot of car though with a free fishpond headlight 😂

Number plate is familiar. Just checked and dad’s ZX was m484 aca. Likely to be a brooklands Wrexham car.

The suede and wood was VSX I think, but could be wrong.

VSX was cloth and wood as standard but perhaps suede was optional. I know the Executive got full leather and don't think there was a trim in between

Weren't they on Holt Road not too far from the industrial estate? Good little set up and  a nice bunch of people.

Indeed yes. Their site actually backed on to my grans garden in woodland grove. My dad had cars from them in the 70s until they closed. The xantia was from cubbin and north .

my 2cv was originally from their as was my second cx.

My old boss won a brand new car in a competition (I forget what it was) and he back traded it with them for a quite new Sierra 2000E and cash his way.  I used to service a machine in their garage, great bunch of people.

I remember going with dad to pick up a new bx and the manager had just bought a Bentley 8.  Can’t recall his name now.

I reckon @eddyramrod should go on a massive vodka fuelled bender tonight, forget what he'd done, then open the door on Saturday morning  to this on the back of a recovery truck outside his house.
