The old 1256cc engine wasn't used in the Astra.  It was the 1196cc "1200S" with a mighty 59hp.

Yes, the old OHV engine which could also be found in previous generations of the Kadett.

That Prelude is proper late reg madnss to be a G reg. The pop-up leadlights facelift came in late '87 E plate.
