IT DIDN'T WORK

Having an Iv*co Cargo to take your car away is like asking Rolf Harris to come and throw your original Van Gogh collection on the bonfire.

Yes most old Japanese diesels use a license built Bosch pump.

(I mean did you really think some number plate obfuscation was going to stop me?  )

not showing but should be showing is AOA168A which was issued after MGB353 was taken off the vehicle, then KAS294 was issued in 2002 as a suitable age related mark to replace the non-age related A suffix mark

First keeper 1983?

First keeper 1983?

as thats when it was first registered with the DVLA, the original date of first registration having gone missing/not entered so the date  of computerisation was put down instead

and keeper counts from buff logbooks never transfer over

it always amuses me when I see someone selling a barn find "1930's Austin 7 only 1 keeper" yeah, no, that probably had about 3  buff logbook continuation books  worth of keepers before it was computerised in the 70's/80's!

because of this, older V5's would specifically state that the keeper count only goes back to such and such date for vehicles that where registered before computerisation

image.png

note how it says on this example for "No of Former keepers 4 since April 1977" this is to say that before this date it could of had a million previous keepers!

(and this date is when the vehicle was moved from the Buff logbook scheme onto the DVLC computer and the V5 scheme)

sadly modern V5's dont display this information for some reason! I dont know if just some idiot at the DVLA has forgotten about the past, or if the data itself has been dropped

imports and the such like would also display the "Since such and such date" as well to say again that from before this date the keeper count is unknown

hopefully this helps clears things up :)

Is there a car that suits Wolfrace slots more than a Scimitar GT/E?

Thought this from the moment I saw my friends dad's one (TUT 60H) that had been abandoned in their large garden in around 1975. That's the sole reason I have never wanted to own one-effectively scrapped at under 6 years old.

I don't hate that even though I hate VW LTs and the MFI kitchen. It hasn't got PAS either.

If it still stinks of horses I'm definitely oot.

In my experience, that smell is the hardest one to shift. I find it one of the most unpleasant too
