I remember this half arsed Allard resurrection attempt. I think there were two or three different ones, unless they just made one and swapped wheels and light treatments.

Looks a bit like @vulgalour could have made it, but just not as well executed as his Princess.

The interweb bought up these bits.

Supposedly only three produced and two scrapped. This ebay one looks different to the the one in the articles.

This one is from flickr same reg different  in details to the two shown in the above links.

I'm confused by their plan. All i can see they did it make some LS400's uglier then more than likely expected more money for them. I wonder if they had long term plans to supercharge them or something as I think that's a bit of al Allard specialty.

I sometimes wonder how these people that think they’re going to reinvent a great British brand managed to make the money they will inevitably spunk on their vanity projects.

currently Lister are turning up the boost on modern Jags sticking their name on them and expecting people to pay £15000 for a £70,000 car. Wonder if the logbook says Lister or Jaguar?

At least the Allard bollocks only wasted the cost of 3 LS400s, a bit of Wob and some coach tail lights.

A business plan that works well for Mitsuoka.

Not gonna lie, I'd totally have a Railton F29 Claremont if I could afford/find one, I reckon that's a really sharp looking car even if it is little more than an old Jag in a posh frock.

The throttle cable thing and vacuum line coming out of it tells me its a cruise control box on top of the original mani. Probably.

The whole inlet manifold looks different as does the rocker covers. I wondered if it had a 4.0 Explorer cologne engine fitted?

In donkeys years of tatting about with old Fords, I've never seen a Cologne with that inlet

If i saw this parked with a £700 sticker on it , not in the window obviously , i'd probably drive past it but 7k , really , is that anything like what they're worth

I wonder if the for sale sign has anything to do with the van sale , I want 1/2 the house , you can do what you like with that .

Some googling says this is indeed a short lived 2.8 EFI engine. Who ever said that wins a virtual high five.
