Only at a Grand with 2 hours to go and no reserve, brakes were seized on and vendor has removed the pads, an hour with some WD40 and a big pry bar could see you drive it home. It’s MOT exempt and doesn’t really need brakes because someone has dropped an old no-turbo dizzlerin there- from memory that means between 60 and 80 bhp, depending on size.

Wow, I realised the connotations of being MOT exempt but that's really bought it home to me. I can go out and buy a nail for £500 and it really is £500, until I have to throw parts at it. No tax to buy, no MOT to 'book' for the drive home...I need to clear some space on the drive!

I purchased this car from the son of the second owner of the car who had bought it from White Arrow Contract hire when it was 4 years old in 1993.  His son worked for White Arrow (who later became GUS) and advised his father that this car was becoming available and it was purchased in December 1993 at which time it had covered approximately 47000 miles.  White Arrow serviced their own cars back then at their garages in Worcester where the fleet were maintained and there are service stamps in the book at 1234 miles in July 89, 6390 miles in January 90, 12154 miles in August 1990, 27533 miles in March 94, 31588 miles in February 1993 during their ownership and as the second owners son worked at White Arrow, they continued to service it for him recording in the service record at 50374 miles in January 95 and finally at 62323 miles in July 2001.  There are MOT certificates for every MOT ever carried out; until the last MOT expired in July 2019 - there were no advisories on this MOT.  The previous owners are White Arrow, Mr Ratcliffe and Mr Ratcliffe's son following his fathers death.  The car was garaged all the time through the Ratcliifes' ownership.

Was quite tempted to chuck in a bid, but sadly I killed myself while halfway through reading this bollocks

You'll need to have some injections and a quarantine period of 6 months if you collect it. Not because of lock down, but because Wrexham's a shit tip.

Good luck to owner Tom in that top speed quest............

I'm pretty sure those late injected B200s were 113bhp rather than 81.9.  Could that be 81.9 kilowatts?  I dunno, I'm too tired to do maths.

Blimey this guy is hardcore

"MoT and tax exempt". I'm sure that somewhere in those regs there's something about "substantial modifications" meaning you're seriously fooked.

All of the fun of a classic Saab without any of the inconvenience of not having seats from your school bus.

There is probably a whole new thread in there - 'Bizarre Car Fabrics and Seat Covers'. I think the ever tasteful Lady Docker had one  Daimler show car done in Zebra hide.

With the Saab you'd have to sit in the back all the time and surreptitiously snog  someone when the driver isn't looking.

Anyone fancy a Scirocco GT "Barn Find" ?

The seller has decided to put a random mileage in the advert when the speedo shows the exact mileage on the last MOT, which it passed with rust warnings in 2017 and has possibly sat there ever since.
