i wonder how fucked up this really is? cos i really do like the Aunty Rover P4.

did the P4 have suicide doors up to the end? and been a 1963 this must be a late one?

That is a late one as production ended in 1964 and they did keep the suicide rear doors to the end.

flippin' tan MB-Tex!!

This is bloody nice. I'm seriously considering it (as a bonus the parents bloody love it!), the only thing is the 'not letting it go for nothing' in the description. I can't work out if it's a bargain (like my old 740 that was a £800 start and I bought for £650), or if it's one of those chancers that sets too high (yet realistic) start price for the auction and actually wants £3000 for it then won't let it go for the start price as they have no idea how eBay actually works (been there before too with a shagged Granada).

If it's going for £2k-ish I'd take a punt, that fucker'll go forever, and look fantastic doing it.

didn't Anneka Rice used to drive one of these in Challenge Anneka?

It was a Dakar, the rotrax was two wheel drive using Ford bits whereas the Dakar used the same body dropped onto a Range Rover chassis.

You don't like the seats? They are amazing, possibly its best feature!

The colours do not appeal, and they do not look likely to offer much, erm, anything really. ?

Two of these, for way too much money.  I'd take the 1.3

1.8 in Wiltshire https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-cars/morris-marina-coupe-1800cc-super-1974-/1379916613

" good original car untouched would make a great rallye replica "

or a 1.3 in Ulster. https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-cars/1973-morris-marina-coupe-1.3-only-41000-miles/1379870640

"Meastro" diesel van in the spares section.  Could be a bargain - it doesn't look too bad from the photos.

That's lovely. Reminds me of my favourite registration ever, which was on this similarly scruffy Vauxhall 10/4

Which some moron restored, even throwing away the original plates!

All that money spent and they couldn't even get the headlights pointing straight.

I sometimes think I should have kept my 10.  Although the Conquest Century that replaced it was a far better car in every practical sense.  I should have kept that too.

I just have Partridge's voice in my head describing the Rover 800s luxurious leather interior when I see those seats....

What are those seats off of?  They don't look very "early P6" to me.

it might be just the piping around the outside, but there not from an MGB are they?
