Hensen M30 was a kit car based on the Mk1 Granada.  I think there's a thread on here about it.

The creator of the Hensen was from Milford Haven and at one point you would see his Hensen parked outside the nightclub that he owned in town #living the dream.

I want to get excited, really I do, but it’s still a Corolla 1.6 auto pensioner special.

Still, it actually looks pretty good value against £700 reserve not met (!) for this giffered-up doom blue street furniture Sunny with a smashed sunroof and ‘only a flesh wound’ corrosion issues.

Nothing against the Sunny, by the way, it’s very AS. Just seems a bit toppy having a reserve north of £700.

Wheeleybin looks more substantial....

And probably more comfortable.

Meanwhile, I know we’re supposed to hate Golfs but I think this one looks like a real peach of a car.

A white bumper Chrysler Alpine!

In boggo LS spec, with Serck plates!

£150 start. It’s a little bit fucked, but looks viable enough. Oh, and all the pics are sideways.

Woah.

I’m in if anyone else is? Who was selling these around Ipswich in the 70s, @Spottedlaurel??

Edit: Scrap that. It’s OX not DX. Bloody Sercks!

Probably still Howes & Sons at that time. Is that because you think it has a YDX plate? I initially read it as that, but I think it's a Midlands YOX-reg?

My Sunny could be bought for not much more than the start on that blue saloon.....

Yes. Ruddy Sercks. I imagine they’d cause a bit of ANPR drama. Which is nice!

I believe @wuvvum is already in, according to his post supra  :-)

Also, I imagine/hope it won’t escape the notice of @Simcat and @SambaS and that noble crew of Alpiniste heroes, though I haven’t heard anything of them in ages.

You are, but not for your thoughts on the Toyota.  You are a bad person for posting that Alpine, on which I appear to have placed a bid.

Excellent, saves me doing something stupid that Mrs BMH would remind me of for the rest of my life!

I keep looking at this and wondering. I think it may have changed hands recently because it was originally in Herne Bay and now Canterbury- not far obviously, but a little sus.

I think if you could get £150 for the spare engine and wheels, then it might just be a viable buy-to-roffle. But only at about £400 for the lot.

Good man. I’m in absolutely no position atm, but would be happy to subscribe to a thread and a monthly outlay in both money and help/hindrance.
