Sadly, my balls are not big enough for luxury gallic motoring.

Not yet. I'm might take it off and bungee cord it to the roof, Roadkill style at some point so I look like a drag racer on cooldown.

Same engine but yours is 5 years newer than mine was so hopefully you’ll be ok.

The wipers can rock the car (we proved that in @gm’s driveway) but you only really notice from outside.

Also, the mystery object in the boot is a weight for stability.

This was around the same time as the first gen TT, the one Audi had to recall and add a spoiler after a series of fatal car crashes.

Is it a little dark k11? Think I might have passed you in a yellow panda a couple of times.

have you noticed that the weird curve in the rear window distorts your vision and makes ‘normal’ audis look like A2s ?

particularly early A3s and A4s, i was regularly tricked into thinking i was in some sort of weird, tall, skinny audi convoy

Time for an update. 

The A2 has been providing stirling service (foreshadowing) so I took it out to Nenthead Mines for Twixfest 2024. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While we were there, me and @320touring had a roll about in the gravel in the scorching summer heat and swapped the wheels for 15 lightweight pepperpots. 

 

 

The jack was too tall to fit under the car so some stones were employed under the wheel to give a little clearance. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stuck some air in and job jobbed. 

 

All in all, very pleased with the results. One of the tyres that came off was bulged all the way round the sidewall so a lucky escape! (foreshadowing) 

Hard to tell in the pic maybe.

 

 

Looks much improved I think.

I was driving up the A19 over the tees flyover today and I had to brake hard for a kamikaze lane changer. 

The car had always pulled to the right a bit which I presumed was bottom arm bushes. When I hit the brakes it went very squirly, dove to the left and generally felt like it was suddenly suicidal. 

I limped home and thought a wheel might be loose as they'd been off on Saturday so checked the bolts.
