Full disclosure: if I win I'll be trying to get rid of it as soon as possible, and not totally sure Jim needs it.. but we'll see.

I won't win.

Famous last words :D

If Jim doesn’t want it I’m much closer than you....

Just discussing now, but feel free to send me offensive offers to save Jim stress, me hassle and Sam another day driving North

One random for me, one gift random for Jim Bell please

(if only one ticket left, gift to Jim Bell takes precedence)

Sorry fella, just seen this. Thank you very much for the thought man.

I'm going to give it a day or so for any interested parties to get in touch; I'd dearly like it to be wanted much further North, so I could justify getting it here and having a go for a few weeks.

Loving the fact that L1 has won this and is actively doesn't want it.

I too needed this like a hole in the head and yet took part in the roffle action, not sure why, probably for the thrill of not winning.

This place etc.

Do let us know what the plans are with it.

Any other time I would love it.  Unfortunately I couldn't even insure it or fill it with petrol at the moment.

Just to reiterate, if anyone is even tempted, talk to me. You could be part of a greater plan.

Unlike.

Or a secret Santa present for your match....

Oh, NOW someone might well find themselves in a position of significant regret!

Sorry chap, not been on for a few days.

If you didn't sell the ticket let me know and I'll PayPal you. You shouldn't be out of pocket.

Ok tempted, stack me a daft deal up although travel/collection may be a mare.

I am on holiday on Friday for a week.

There's enough interest north of the border and in the shallow South (Yorkshire) to clear me paying Bramz for delivery, so it's coming north when it can find the time in it's busy schedule.

More updates to follow when things happen.

Yo gang, this had sold but I bought it back (because I wanted to keep it), so am selling it for what I paid for it back. As I am hopefully acquiring a potentially demanding Frenchie, I would rather focus on its upkeep.

£275 for this fine German, or I am open to a swap within reason, although this is the arse end of the market.

Whoever buys it will need to bring a new battery as its a bit shit, or I will supply one if you pay £325.

Anyone?

Car is in Reading, Berkshire.

Huh?

We love you Bramz, but I do worry sometimes.

Well, long story short: It was won in a roffle, the winner of roffle offered it to me back as I was semi pestering to keep it with sellers remorse. However, given I now wish to acquire a Safrane V6, I'd rather focus on keeping on top of that, then spread funds across both.

Yes, I know, I am a nutcase.

Bit steep for a battery :)

I wonder if work would let me buy this and drive it home as it's almost as cheap as a bloody train ticket...

Why are all these bargains knocking around when I've got nae free cash?

Ah, got it. Safrane V6 explains all, I’m fully with you now.

I've been offered a Rover 75 V6 with full ticket as a swap....I don't think it's a mint example but I'm tempted.

Sounds like potentially good value, full ticket means there shouldn't be anything too horribly wrong with it. Check the cooling system carefully for signs of drips and leaks, the KV6 is a bit prone to thermostat and/or water pump issues and access makes it an awkward fix, other than that there's not much to worry about.

They're comfy and welcoming places to be. No idea how they drive though.

2.0 or 2.5?  2.0 is a bit "all mouth and no trousers" - it will get a move on but you have to cane the crap out of it to do so, which is somewhat at odds with the wafty nature of the car.  2.5 is lovely.

Posted

The 2.0 is the smoother of the two units, but it's a bit pointless when the 2.5 will give you more for the same fuel expenditure.

The Rover v6 at full chat is a wonderful sound.  Not forced, not artificial, but just a beautiful sound.

Posted

It is a 2.5 I've been offered. If that does happen, I'll probably roffle it right away...unless a Rover 75 is the best car I've never had?

Only other car I really want to try now is an 850. Anyone want to swap an 850 for this? Didn't think so.

Check for the pink coolant between the V, simple check to be honest.

Oh, also make sure the rad fans come on.

Any window switch issues will likely be down to the contacts needing cleaning inside the switch, easy peasy job to do.

The 2.5 does sound lovely and goes like a good one when prodded.

Leather is nice but the cloth seats are also rather good too.
