I wanted to scratch the V8 itch too, but specifically with a manual gearbox for all teh funs. So I bought a Land Rover Discovery 4.0 V8, which at least adds a bit of practicality to the financial ruin Exiled_Tat_Gatherer, somewhatfoolish, BorniteIdentity and 2 others
xtriple
A silver spirit is a bad choice as it hardly feels like a V8 at all. Get an X308 they do Stevebrookman and richardthestag
Asimo
Eddy can supply a V8* with far more street cred than any Silver Spirit......... **Lucky you, aspiring to something so achievable. anonymous user
If you want the experience of owning a v8 just send me all your money. I have only had one, a Porsche 928, whenever I think I might like something with a v8 I remind myself of how it tried to bankrupt me.

pandamonium
Think that's bad? I had a Chevy Celebrity with the 2.9 V6. All the financial ruin of a V8 with none of the performance or street cred.I'm doing this wrong aren't I? eddyramrod, danthecapriman, somewhatfoolish and 6 others
Liggle
Do it! I'm currently scratching my V8 itch whilst I can after many years of pondering the thought eddyramrod
fastblatt
I had the same itch. Had a stag up to to 2 years ago and just recently bought a petrol L322 Range Rover. Glorious sound and very refined at the same time. Not expensive to scratch the itch but I know it’ll bite me at some point. richardthestag
eddyramrod
The trouble is, like all itches, once you've scratched it you'll have no choice but to keep scratching. This is my third Cadillac. But the sense of serenity it gives you is unbeatable. barefoot, danthecapriman, Bren and 2 others

eddyramrod
For a V12 you pretty-much have to be Junkman. A V8, especially a slightly shabby American one, is very much the working man's luxury car. chaseracer and richardthestag
